The Presbyterian Theological Seminary (PTS), Kumba, has taken a significant step toward marching the vision of the Moderator of the PCC: "Strengthening; Edifying" With tangible actions in its vision of sustainability through a recent delegation visit to Manyemen. Led by the Dean, the Rev. Dr. Felix Kang Esoh, the team undertook the mapping and demarcation of a 15-hectare parcel of land generously offered by the hierarchy of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) for the development of PTS agribusiness initiatives.
The ten-man delegation included the Vice Dean in charge of Students Affairs, the Rev. Mbua Gaius, the Chairman of the PTS Agribusiness Committee, the Rev. Talikong Amos Nfor, accompanied Rev. Joseph Besingi, Rev. Mbu Livingston, Rev. Agbor Jacob Bate, Rev. Che Godlove, Mr. Mbouli Donaldson, Mr. Mfa John and Mr. Tawang John (the driver).
The delegation was treated to a guided tour to the land by the Manager of PRTC Manyemen, and the Administrator of Manyemen General Hospital, among others. Their presence underscored the collaborative and strategic importance of this initiative for both the seminary and its wider institutional partners.
This landmark development represents a bold and practical response to the Moderator's vision and seminary’s ongoing commitment to self-sustainability. In the years ahead, the Manyemen agribusiness project is expected to provide not only financial support to PTS but also hands-on training opportunities for students in transformational and context-based ministry.
Indeed, this initiative reflects a forward-looking vision where theological education is meaningfully integrated with sustainable development, empowering the seminary to serve both Church and society more effectively.
