"ALL IS VANITY " Let's discuss this issue. It is often said by many people that "all is vanity, " meaning that all material things that we have and that enable us to live a comfortable life such as big houses, nice cars, lands, enterprises, huge bank accounts and many others are useless. But if almost everybody in the society wants to be wealthy and is looking for ways to increase their incomes, it therefore means that the consideration of everything as " vanity " is not unanimous or universal . Then the value or the unusefulness of material things is a matter of debate. People who claim that everything is "vanity " argue that nobody has ever gone after death with their material properties. They have never seen any death person buried with their money, their cars, their lands nor their houses .Hence they declare that it is useless to look for material properties. However, man can not live in direct contact with the nature like an animal. Though he will not live for an eternal life on Earth, he has to make his life confortable. In fact "all is not vanity ." Most people who stand for the idea that every material thing is useless are the poor. They find themselves reconforted in their position and use their argument to challenge the rich. Also, all what a wealthy person lives on earth as material properties given to them by their efforts or grace of God is not "vanity " these material properties are the blessing of God and will continue to help their descendents. In conclusion, we should not be slaves to material things but we need them for a decent life and for the future of new generations.
