From July 10 to 14, the School of International Education at CSU organized the “Experiencing China · Charming Xiaoxiang” social practice program, bringing together 34 international students from 15 countries.🌍

🙌Students visited the China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone and Jianghua Yao Autonomous County, gaining first-hand insights into China’s opening-up, rural revitalization, ecological development🌿, and industrial upgrading. 🏭

✨In Jianghua, the students explored tea plantations, local enterprises, ecological sites, and rural communities. They also took part in volunteer teaching activities with local primary school students, sharing world cultures while learning about changes in China’s rural education and grassroots development.

Through field visits and hands-on experiences, the program offered international students a vivid and comprehensive view of modern China beyond the classroom.

🚀As an important platform for international education and cultural exchange, CSU will continue to create more opportunities for international students to better understand China, engage with local communities, and grow through practice.🇨🇳❤️

CSU Student Wins Award at 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Storytelling Contest✨

🙌On July 12, the second round of the 2026 “Chinese Bridge” Storytelling Contest was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, bringing together 50 contestants from 35 countries.

Two CSU undergraduates, KADIATOU(卡佳图) from Guinea and GANTSETSEG SUVD (初雪) from Mongolia, advanced to the Contest. KADIATOU won the Outstanding Eloquence Award with her story “The Doctor’s Hands,” sharing how Chinese medical teams in Africa inspired her to study medicine at Xiangya. And SUVD told a touching story of three generations of her family and their long-standing connection with China. 🤝🇨🇳

This year, CSU also co-hosted the Central China preliminary round, attracting over 160 international students from 41 countries, and received the Outstanding Organization Award.

🌍Global Minds, Green Metallurgy

🌱On July 2, international students from universities across China gathered at for the 3rd High-Level International Student Academic Exchange Symposium under the theme “Experiencing China, Intelligent Metallurgy.”

➡️Through keynote lectures, research presentations, and laboratory visits, participants explored cutting-edge topics including low-carbon metallurgy, resource recycling, environmental protection, and advanced metal materials. The event also provided a valuable platform for young researchers from around the world to exchange ideas, share innovations, and build lasting academic connections.✨
