This week, Jimin Square turned into a global village
SWUFE proudly hosted the 10th International Festival, bringing together students from over 100 countries and regions for a vibrant celebration of cross-cultural exchange.
• From a Sichuan Opera face-changing performance to traditional dances, songs, and theatre by students from Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia, Togo, and more
• 40+ booths showcasing cultures from around the world
• Hands-on experiences: Sichuan embroidery and other intangible cultural heritage crafts

SWUFE launches "EconWeave" – a new Chinese Economics LLM

On April 10, SWUFE unveiled EconWeave, a large language model built to understand China’s economy, analyze real-world data, and support policy making.

Co-developed with 7 top universities and powered by iFLYTEK, it features five core functions (Teach, Learn, Research, Governance, Global) and two signature tools.

Selected as one of China’s first Ministry of Education economics LLMs.

Big News!

In the first week of March, Vice President Li Zhisheng led a delegation from SWUFE to the UK and Ireland, visiting the University of Strathclyde, the University of Leeds, and the University of Galway.

We signed new MOUs with Strathclyde and Galway, and agreed with Leeds to renew our partnership and expand student and faculty exchanges. From fintech and business analytics to data science and digital economy, we explored exciting opportunities for joint programs and research collaboration.

This visit marks a strong step forward in building lasting partnerships with top universities in the UK and Ireland.
