🚀 Empowering Global Education: ZCMU EMI Teacher Training 2026 Kicks Off! 🎓✨

On August 14, ZCMU officially launched the 2026 EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) Teacher Training, in proud partnership with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC)! 🤝

Over the course of this 5-day intensive program, 30 dedicated ZCMU teachers and doctors from 16 departments are leveling up their English teaching skills. The goal? To provide an even better learning experience for our international students and integrate global perspectives into our clinical and research work. 🩺📚

💡 Did you know? Since 2022, we have successfully trained 176 educators through this initiative!

With over 1,400 international degree students from 75 countries enrolled in 2025, we are deeply committed to upgrading the “Study at ZCMU” brand and building a premier destination for global medical education. 🌍🌿

Here’s to continuous growth and a brighter, more international future for medical education! 👏

🌿 Bridging Cultures through Medicine: ZCMU International Students Begin Clinical Clerkship! 🌍🩺

11 of our international students (Clinical Medicine & TCM) have officially started an 8-week clerkship at Xiaoshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine! Hailing from Russia, Thailand, Spain, and Pakistan, they are the first overseas cohort to intern at this hospital. ✨

Guided by expert mentors, students will rotate through four key departments. Through hands-on practice, clinical observation, and case discussions, they’ll dive deep into TCM and experience the power of integrated Chinese-Western healthcare. 🍃

This marks a new milestone for ZCMU in cultivating global medical talents. We can't wait to see them master their skills and become outstanding TCM ambassadors on the world stage! 🤝✨

Today marks the Beginning of Autumn (立秋 lì qiū), the 13th solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar.

Although the summer heat may still linger, this solar term signals the gradual arrival of cooler days and a shift from growth to harvest. 🌾

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this is a time to nourish the lungs, protect the body from dryness, and adjust daily routines with the changing weather. Simple habits such as staying hydrated, eating seasonal foods, getting enough rest, and avoiding excessive cold drinks can help maintain balance. 🌿

As autumn begins, may we welcome the new season with calmness, wellness, and renewed energy.

👉From July 13 to 21, 2026, 34 students from the United States, Portugal, and Tunisia joined the TCM Culture Experience Summer Camp hosted by ZCMU.✨

🙌During the ten-day immersive program, participants explored TCM through lectures, museum visits, hands-on experiences, and clinical observations. They learned about TCM theory, experienced AI-assisted TCM diagnostic technology, and tried traditional therapies such as cupping, tuina, and Baduanjin.

Beyond TCM learning, students also experienced Chinese culture and the charm of Zhejiang. They visited West Lake, the China National Tea Museum, Nanxun Ancient Town, and other cultural sites, gaining a deeper understanding of Jiangnan history, lifestyle, and wellness philosophy.🌿🌟

At the closing ceremony, teachers and students shared that the program offered much more than academic learning. It helped them see TCM not only as a medical system, but also as a way of life rooted in Chinese culture.🇨🇳❤️

International Students Explore TCM Heritage and Rural Vitality in Zhejiang✨🌿

On July 14, international students from Thailand, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Morocco and other countries joined a summer social practice trip themed “Explore China.”🇨🇳

➡️The group first visited Fuyang Hospital of Orthopedics of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a national-level intangible cultural heritage base, where they learned about the century-old Zhang’s bone-setting therapy. Through observation and hands-on experience, students gained a deeper understanding of TCM and its unique diagnostic and treatment methods.

They then traveled to ancient villages in Tonglu County, exploring Jiangnan-style rural culture, traditional architecture, and Zhejiang’s practices in ecological protection and common prosperity.

🙌Through this immersive journey, international students experienced the charm of Chinese culture, TCM heritage, and rural revitalization up close. They are also expected to share what they learned with the world and help promote cultural exchange.🤝

Today marks Major Heat (大暑 dàshǔ), one of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms, bringing some of the hottest and most humid days of the year. 🌡️🔥

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this season is closely linked with summer heat and dampness. To stay balanced, it is helpful to keep a light diet, drink enough water, avoid excessive cold drinks, and take proper rest. 💦

Exploring TCM Culture: ZCMU International Students Visit Minghe Ancient Town✨

On July 14, 24 international students joined a summer field study at Minghe Ancient Town in Cixi, where international students discovered the charm of Chinese medicine, heritage architecture, and celadon craftsmanship. 🌿

Later, they explored the Shanglin Lake Yue Kiln Museum, where the elegance of celadon left a deep impression.

Participants shared heartfelt reflections — from understanding TCM’s cultural depth to feeling inspired by China’s respect for tradition and its warm, diverse communities.🌿✨

🚀This immersive practice allowed international students to connect with China’s living traditions, fostering cross-cultural understanding and renewed appreciation for the heritage of Chinese medicine. ❤️🇨🇳
