Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s top higher education institutions, as well as one of its oldest; its roots can be traced back to 1897 and the founding of the Qiushi Academy. Located in Hangzhou – one of China’s most picturesque cities – the University is organized across seven faculties and 37 schools. It is home to 4,191 full-time faculty members, including 52 members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

🦐 There's something unexpected living among the rice in Xinjiang: tropical shrimp!

A researcher and his team are piloting a rice-giant freshwater prawn farming model in Aksu, adapting the tropical species to Xinjiang's cooler climate and large day-night temperature swings.

With greenhouse insulation and other techniques, they've helped the shrimp reach market size while growing rice — an innovative approach to agricultural cooperation between Zhejiang and Xinjiang.

The Master’s in Digital Transformation and Entrepreneurship is jointly delivered by Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) and the College of Business and Economics (CBE) at The Australian National University (ANU).
Designed to develop digital thinking, global business capabilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset, the program brings together academic strengths from both universities to prepare future-ready professionals with a global perspective.

🌏⚙️What does it take for technology to truly take root abroad?

In August, a 10-member graduate team from 's International Campus visited Indonesia under the "Zhiyuan" program to explore industrial technology transfer and capacity building along the Belt and Road.

From industrial automation and power infrastructure to new energy vehicles, the team visited companies, institutions, and ZJU alumni organizations in Hangzhou and Jakarta, seeing how Chinese companies are moving beyond "going global" to "growing local".🤝
