Master of Environmental Policy

Duke Kunshan University has been selected for funding under China’s “Biodiversity Protection and Fundraising Program,” a national initiative that funds university-led OECMs (Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures).

The program aligns with the United Nations’ Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and its “30x30” goal of conserving 30 percent of the planet’s land and oceans by 2030.

Led by faculty members Binbin Li, Coraline Goron, Renee Richer, and Chi-Yeung (Jimmy) Choi, along with support from DKU’s Education Development Foundation and graduate students from Master of Environmental Policy Program, DKU’s project aims to expand campus habitats for local wildlife, restore ecological water systems, and reduce threats to biodiversity through bird-collision prevention, light pollution control, and stray animals management.

Located on a key migratory flyway, DKU continues to advance biodiversity-friendly campus planning with global relevance.

🚣Field Trip to Duke Marine Lab
Two videos in the end showed you more info. about Marine Lab and Marine Robotics and Remote Sensing Lab！！🎉🎉
Last weekend, the 2020 iMEP Cohort visited Duke University Marine Lab. This coastal campus in Beaufort, NC, is open to all Duke students. Dr. David Johnston taught the iMEP students about using drones to study and understand the environment. Boat rides down Taylor's Creek and the Beaufort Waterfront followed⛴. The trip ended on Sunday with a visit to Fort Macon State Park, home to a 19th-century Civil War fort.👏💦💦

Vanessa Xu, an iMEP graduate student, shared her wonderful experience at DUKE.👏👏
✍Prof Jesko A. von Windheim and Prof Karl von Gunten's course on marketing skills in the environmental field is her favorite. Students will get the opportunity to work with real clients in the United States to assist them to achieve their marketing goals, as well as apply environmental and marketing abilities to real-life sustainable concerns.🏖Vanessa spent her spring break in Orlando, a Harry Potter and theme park lover's dream. "It was great to see different HP or film-related icons at Orlando and Universal! Roller coasters were not only thrilling but also faithful to the movies."The experience in Orlando and Universal was unmissable!😍🥰
