Even the youngest learners have been asked one of life’s biggest questions, “What do you want to do when you grow up?” To encourage our students to keep exploring different possibilities and passions, we plan to host a Career Day in the afternoon of March 31 (Friday) and we are now inviting experts and practitioners in a range of careers to share their experience and wisdom and a few “top tips” so that our students learn about careers that align with their interests and skills and they got to ask questions directly to some of the top professionals. We are now calling for volunteers from different professions to share some information to our students (from G1 to G12), and if you are interested, feel free to scan the QR code and participate:)

CISK’s
“Coats for Kids”

Parents know how quickly kids grow! Every one or two years, kids need a new winter coat and boots to keep out the cold.
As part of Grades 7 and 8’s exploration into the United Nation’s Convention on the Rights of the Child, in advance of December 10th, Human Rights Day, they were moved to ask how they can help children who struggle to have their basic human rights met.
Our Caring, Principled and Reflective CISKers decided to start a fundraiser.
We contacted local schools asking if they had any families that need this kind of support and we accepted twelve low-income families. We learned their situation, their hobbies and their clothing sizes and then we started planning.
November 25th-December 15th, our Grades 7 and 8 students will hold fundraisers where they’ll apply what they’ve learned about starting their own businesses: what to sell and why, marketing, “supply and demand”, “mark-up”, “profit margin” and “overstock”.
Let’s be proud of our CISKers as we see them truly becoming global citizens!
