The award ceremony & screening of “240 Hours · Framing Jiangnan—Qingpu International Youth Film Season” took place on Sept 20. Over 100 international students from more than 30 countries and regions, including those from College of International Education, Shanghai University shot vlogs in Zhujiajiao and Panlong Tiandi. Their clips capturing daily town life hit 3 million views worldwide. Creators shared how the quiet charm of Zhujiajiao reveals a different side of Shanghai, bridging cultures through lenses.Indonesian creator Yujia shared that he wandered through Zhujiajiao’s alleys and historic buildings while filming, and came to understand the ancient town’s long history. Bahraini creator Abrar Sami did a little survey among her foreign friends. When asked what part of Shanghai impressed them most, the answer was Zhujiajiao. To them, the peaceful, laid-back charm of Zhujiajiao shows a different side of Shanghai.

On September 8, over 60 international freshmen from 38 countries visited the Shanghai Archives as their first stop. Through historical documents and guided explanations, they explored Shanghai’s rich past.

Oyutugs from Mongolia shared: "This visit to the archives was a wonderful start to my life in Shanghai. Walking through the exhibition halls, I felt the unique charm of the city's urban history and witnessed how Shanghai has evolved over the decades. Every historical file tells a touching story of the city’s growth.
