【Samanya Liawrakoran: To Live in the World Beyond Home】
“As we say in Thai, เปิดหูเปิดตา (Opening your ears and opening your eyes to the world)” 🌏
Samanya Liawrakoran, known to his friends as “Truemove”, is a second-year Global Business Management student from Thailand studying at SME, CUHK-Shenzhen.
Stepping out of his comfort zone and broadening his horizons—these were the reasons why Truemove chose to study in China. Coming from a family business background, he was naturally drawn to the field of business. At SME, CUHK-Shenzhen, he found exactly what he was looking for: world-class facilities, globally diverse faculty, and forward-looking curricula—it not only nurtures a business mindset and soft skills, but also offers students the academic freedom and space to explore their future career paths.
Outside the classroom, Truemove co-created UniMart—a second-hand marketplace for students inspired by his own experiences selling items on campus. It all started with a simple question: “What if there was a better way?” What started as a casual idea shared with friends quickly grew into a real project. Drawing on what he learned in class, he continued to refine his ideas, identify problems, and develop solutions, helping the platform gradually take shape.
He credits much of this growth to the supportive community at SME, CUHK-Shenzhen, especially the patient guidance of professors and the classmates who constantly challenge and inspire him. In his view, surrounding yourself with driven people is the fastest way to grow. 💡
【Samanya Liawrakoran:
