“We chose not only for its world-class academic excellence and advanced innovation, but because we believe that the future of our global society depends on mutual understanding, collaboration, and dialogue between civilizations.”

Speaking at the XJTU Hainan International College Opening Ceremony, our student representative Carla from Spain perfectly captured the spirit of our new cohort. For these international learners, studying in Hainan is not just a language program but a gateway to deep cultural immersion and lifelong global connections.

At the 2026 Asian University Table Tennis Championship in Kuantan , Malaysia, two student athletes were selected for the Chinese delegation and achieved an impressive result of two gold medals and one silver 🥇🥇🥈. Their performance contributed to an outstanding tournament for the Chinese university table tennis team, which swept all seven gold medals and also secured two silvers and one bronze. 🏓 👏

Both XJTU athletes helped claim gold in the men’s team event. One of them also won the mixed doubles title, while the other earned silver in men’s singles. Together, they reached the quarterfinals and finished fifth in men’s doubles.

Behind every point were countless hours of training, perseverance, and teamwork. We are truly proud of our students for giving their all and shining on the Asian university sports stage. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!

Summer in Xi’an came with many discoveries for international students. Qinqiang Opera costumes, quiet museum halls, ancient city walls, the Terracotta Warriors, and centuries of stories waited around every corner.

During the “Experiencing China: Discovering Ancient Chang’an” summer field experience, students traded textbooks for real places and firsthand experiences. Through group visits and their own adventures, they explored the city’s traditional arts, revolutionary history, iconic landmarks, and lesser-known archaeological sites.

Along the way, history became something they could see, hear, and connect with. They discovered how the past continues to shape everyday life in Xi’an, while creating their own memories in this ancient yet vibrant city.

Now that everyone is back on campus, these snapshots offer a warm look back at a summer spent exploring, learning, and seeing China from new perspectives.
