There is no better way to understand contemporary China than seeing it in action. Recently, XJTUers headed to for a five-day field trip to explore the real driving forces behind the country’s development.

The itinerary perfectly balanced cutting-edge technology with rich cultural history. On the industrial side, the students visited the Airbus assembly line and TBEA’s energy plants to learn about smart manufacturing. They engaged directly with professionals about international business standards and global supply chains.

Beyond the high-tech facilities, the trip offered a deep dive into local heritage. Instead of simply looking at museum exhibits, the students got hands-on with Yangliuqing New Year Paintings, made local Mahua snacks, and climbed the breathtaking Huangyaguan Great Wall.
