On Sept. 20, 2014, Distinguished Professor Datong Xu, the honorable founder of TJNU Law, joins the celebration of TJNU Class of 1984 Reunion. Afterwards, Prof. Xu attends the TJNU LL.B. Class of 1984 Reunion. Back in 1980, with the help of Renmin University of China, Prof. Xu presided over the launch of the first LL.B. program in Greater Tianjin Area. He also invited multiple leading law professors to teach at the program, including renowned Prof. Rou Tong and Prof. Mingxuan Gao. Prof. Xu is a renowned political science scholar in China.

On Sept. 19, 2014, Prof. Jianmiao Hu joins TJNU Law as an Adjunct Professor, and gives a keynote speech of "Moving Toward Due Process".

Prof. Hu is a leading law professor in administrative law, directing and teaching at the Law Department of Chinese Academy of Governance (also known as China National School of Administration ) located in Beijing. He also serves as a managing director as well as academic board director at China Law Society, and serves as a consulting specialist at both the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

On Sept. 16 and 17, Prof. Bangjun Jia attends the 12th Annual Greater China Civil Code Academic Symposium "21st Century Innovations of Civil Law" at 東吳大學城中校區(Downtown Section, Soochow University), which is sponsored by Soochow University School of Law and Renmin University of China Law School. Prof. Jia presents a comparative research on multiple real estate lease laws of Greater China, and chairs Session 2 on Sept. 16.

Prof. Jia has been teaching in TJNU Law for more than 30 years. He is a distinguished professor, scholar, and mentor in the field of civil and commercial law. He directs the Center for Applied Legal Studies in Civil and Commercial Law and the Teaching-Research Section of Civil, Commercial, and Economic Law at TJNU Law. He has served as the legal counsel for the Standing Committee of Tianjin's People Congress, Tianjin Normal University, and multiple law firms, and has also been chair of the Civil Law Branch of Tianjin Law Society.
