Twelve student projects and multiple academic disciplines came together today at ULACIT with one central purpose: sharing knowledge developed through research, analysis and applied learning.
Throughout the Student Research Conference (SRC), students explored topics connected to law, healthcare, cybersecurity, sustainability, digital transformation and engineering, demonstrating how academic learning can address contemporary challenges from different perspectives.
The conference was also an exercise in academic communication. Each team presented its ideas, supported its reasoning with evidence and responded to questions, turning research into a process of discussion, feedback and continuous learning.
At the end of the competition, “Sistema de monitoreo y control automático del nivel de fluido en un dializador mediante Arduino y control PID” earned first place, standing out among the projects presented throughout the day. The jury also recognized “VSalud” in second place and “Diseño de un Sistema Inteligente de Pago Automatizado Basado en RFID e Industria 4.0 para la Reducción de Tiempos de Espera en PriceSmart Costa Rica” in third, highlighting the quality of the student research showcased at this edition. 🏆
The results brought to a close a day that strengthened research culture while encouraging critical analysis, evidence-based argumentation and intellectual leadership among ULACIT students.
