Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pembe Sabancıgil will deliver a presentation titled "The α-Extension of Bleimann-Butzer-Hahn Operators" at the 9th Mediterranean International Conference of Pure & Applied Mathematics and Related Areas (MICOPAM 2026). The conference will be held in Antalya from November 5 to 8, 2026. Her talk is scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the Sherwood Dreams Resort Hotel.

The EMU Mathematics Club is hosting a special visitor! From 11 to 12 on Monday 26 October 2026, Mr. Egor Zaytsev will deliver a seminar entitled "The Fractional Residue Theorem". He will explain how a high school maths teacher with no university degree in mathematics was able to discover a new result and ultimately publish it in the Bulletin of the London Mathematical Society.

From 4:30 to 5 pm on Thursday 22 October 2026, our Department of Mathematics staff member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Müge Saadetoğlu will deliver a seminar entitled "When Representation Theory Meets Topology". She will speak about representation theory, a branch of algebra that studies abstract algebraic structures by representing their elements as linear transformations of vector spaces, and use this theory to give a topological proof for a version of Artin's induction theorem from algebraic topology. All are welcome to attend the talk in ASG11 (ASA2), and refreshments will be provided.
