🎓 Simona Koryčánková will continue to lead the MU Faculty of Education in the upcoming term.
In a secret ballot held by the Faculty’s Academic Senate, the incumbent Dean secured 17 votes and was elected in the very first round. Her challenger, historian Marie Koldinská, received three votes, with one senator abstaining.
💬 “I can promise hard work and close collaboration between the academic and non-academic staff across our faculty, and I look forward to working together with everyone,” stated Simona Koryčánková following the announcement of the results.
The Academic Senate will now submit a proposal to the MU Rector for her appointment as Dean for the term of office from 1 February 2027 to 31 January 2031.
👏 Congratulations on the re-election, and we wish her every success and plenty of energy in her upcoming term!

The Moravian Museum invites international visitors to guided tours of the Bizarre Insects exhibition in English and with Ukrainian interpretation.

Discover the fascinating world of insects – from giant tropical beetles and colourful butterflies to masters of camouflage and creatures that seem to have stepped out of a science fiction story. The exhibition reveals the extraordinary diversity of the insect world, its remarkable adaptations, and the surprising boundary between beauty and the bizarre. It presents insects not only as subjects of scientific research but also as a source of inspiration for art and human imagination.

The exhibition offers an engaging experience for visitors of all ages. Children can enjoy interactive exhibits and games, while adults will appreciate unique insect specimens, large-format photographs, and displays of live insects.
