🚨 Erasmus+ project S.H.I.E.L.D. continues!

An international consortium meeting took place in Volos 🇬🇷, bringing together partners working on strengthening cybersecurity and digital skills.

The project focuses on protecting sensitive data and improving resilience to cyber threats—especially in healthcare and social care sectors 🏥💻
It also supports the development of digital skills among the older generation.

🧠 What’s happening now?
✔️ Development of an accredited study program (3 ECTS)
✔️ Creation of an open e-learning platform
✔️ Mobile app with real-life cyber threat simulations

🇳🇴🌍 From Stavanger with new energy ideas

We joined partners in Stavanger for the Repower Regions meeting under Erasmus+. The project focuses on skills in heating & cooling to support decarbonisation and regional energy transition ⚡

Alongside project work on new curricula and local alliances, we visited IVAR to see sustainable waste management in action and explored local context at Fagskolen Rogaland.

🚀 Data Strategy & AI Take Center Stage at ATHENS 2026

Over the past week, the March edition of the ATHENS programme at the Masaryk Institute of Advanced Studies brought together 28 students from across Europe 🌍 — from Bucharest, Delft, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, Milan, and Warsaw.

From biotechnology to AI, engineering to data governance, participants explored how data strategy drives the successful adoption of intelligent technologies in today’s business world.

💡 Through lectures and hands-on workshops, students dove into:
– data governance & quality
– AI applications in real-world scenarios
– ethical & societal impacts of smart systems
– data as a key organizational asset

🤝 Industry experts from leading global companies like Adastra, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Microsoft CZ, MSD Invents, SAP, and Personal Connect shared cutting-edge insights and practical experience.

🏭 Beyond the classroom, students experienced:
– a visit to Prusa Research’s 3D printing farm
– cultural highlights like the National Theatre
– the National Technical Museum

🚀 ATHENS 2026 has officially started at our school!

This week, we are excited to welcome 29 students from across Europe, bringing together diverse backgrounds—from AI, data science and ICT to engineering, economics and beyond.

The program focuses on AI and data in practice, combining lectures, workshops, and real-world insights from industry experts. Students will explore how data strategy drives successful AI implementation, while also diving into the technological, business, and ethical aspects of today’s digital world.

Beyond the classroom, participants will experience Prague through cultural activities and company visits—connecting innovation with real-life applications.

ATHENS is all about collaboration, knowledge sharing, and building international connections—and we’re proud to be part of it again this year 🌍✨

🚀 Exciting news from CTU!

The Czech Technical University in Prague has officially joined the international project BRITE-EU – Boosting R&I Talent Interoperability and Employability in Europe, funded by the Horizon Europe programme.

Two CTU units are part of this initiative – CIIRC CTU and MIAS CTU – working alongside leading European partners to strengthen research and innovation capacities, with a special focus on digital health.

The project kicked off in January 2026 with a consortium meeting in Porto, bringing together 11 institutions from across Europe. Together, they aim to enhance collaboration, support talent development, and boost employability in research and innovation.

CTU’s involvement highlights its strong commitment to international cooperation and impactful innovation within the European Research Area 🌍

We’re honored to welcome a group of international students to our Spring School! 🎓🌍

The program began with online classes at the beginning of February, and the students arrived in Prague on February 20. They will stay with us until the end of May, taking part in an intensive academic and cultural experience.

Their schedule is packed with courses such as:
