🇬🇧 Our graduate student Eliška Pechlátová Manchester!
🍃At the beginning of March, she joined the Environmental Research & Innovation Centre (ERIC) at as a visiting researcher. She will be will be engaging in work on a PhD level at the intersection of remote sensing, biodiversity, sustainable urban design, and policy.
Her role will involve working alongside professor Mike Hardman, contributing to various projects within the university, as well as adjacent university partner initiatives. Currently, the plan is to get involved in regional, national and international research, enterprise experience, and exposure to university-level teaching.
One of the projects she will be working on over the course of her internship will be the GreenME Project, which is a Horizon Europe project aimed at mapping areas where nature-based therapy can be scaled to improve adult mental health. She will also be involved in seagrass meadows habitat suitability mapping project in Weymouth, as well as hydrochemistry lab work.
