FIS studies, Prague University of Economics and Business Economic Data Analysis (EDA) is a two-year English-taught master´s degree program.

International study programmes at the Faculty of Informatics and Statistics
undergraduate programmes: Business Information Systems and Computer Science, Economic Data Science
postgraduate programmes: Information Systems Management, Economic Data Analysis Information Systems Management (ISM) is a two-year English-taught master´s degree programme for anyone aiming at a career as an IT manager, project manager, information system auditor, knowledge engineer, business analyst or consultant. EDA is meant for those who see their professional future in statistical data analysis, economic modelling and forecasting or operational research. EDA has two major specializations (students choose their specialization during the first semester): Master in Official Statistics (MOS) and Data Analysis and Modelling (DAM). The specialization MOS is accredited with EMOS label (European Master in Official Statistics), awarded by the European Statistical System Committee (ESSC) only to programs which fulfil strict requirements and offer high-quality education.

📍Where to Study in Prague

🖊Let’s be honest, at some point during the semester, your room gets too comfortable to be a study space and turns into a place where you scroll TikTok and procrastinate until the last minute. Then you go to the library in attempt to study and it is full, you go to the campus coworking space on the 1st floor and there is no space even on the floors, so we need to explore other options. Good news is that Prague is one of the best cities in Europe for café-hopping with a laptop. Bad news is that not all cafés allow you to bring your laptop with you , and nothing is worse than ordering an expensive flat white and then discovering there is strict no-laptop policy.

Kruhy Kick-Off Evening is behind us, and it was a great start! 🎉

Kruhy, organized by the Student Club 4FIS, aims to connect new students into supportive groups where they can ask questions about studying at FIS VŠE, student life, or living in Prague. Each group, called a Kruh, is guided by experienced students from higher years who have already gone through the process of settling into Prague and starting their studies.

👉During last Tuesday's Kick-Off Evening, the new students met their fellow group members, got to know their guides, and even completed their first tasks together.

Kruhy is traditionally organized for Bachelor's degree students at FIS. This year, for the very first time, students of the English-taught programme EDS were also able to join.

🎓 Great news! Our Master's programme Economic Data Analysis (EDA) has been successfully reaccredited.

The updated curriculum reflects the latest developments in economics, statistics, and data science. Students can look forward to new courses, modernised content, and three specialised study pathways.

Ready for an evening of strikes, spares, and great company? Join us for the traditional FIS Bowling and spend a fun night with your fellow students!

🎓 EDS students: 18:00–20:00 (arrival from 17:30)
🎓 ISM & EDA students: 20:00–22:00 (arrival from 19:30)

At the Kruhy Opening Ceremony, you will meet your group, your fellow students, and the guides who will support you throughout your first semester.

The programme starts with a fun outdoor team challenge, followed by a chance to relax, chat, and celebrate together in Riegrovy Sady. 🍻

Dress warmly, wear comfortable shoes, and come kick off your studies at FIS with people from your programme!
