On Thursday, March 26, at 6 p.m., as part of the One World Festival in Pardubice, Divadlo 29 will host a screening of the film 🇰🇪 “The Shadow Scholars” - a documentary about Kenya's academic ghostwriter-for-hire industry from Eloise King. The screening will be followed by a discussion featuring Anna Libánská, a member of CAFR.

🇬🇭Ghana Culture Week🇬🇭 Accraartweek

6th-10th March 2026
Prague : is an initiative of Accra Art Week which brings core elements of Ghanaian Culture as a showcase to audiences in the Czech Republic. Bringing Ghanaian Culture closer to audiences who may otherwise not have any access to it.

Between 6th-10th March. With support from the Embassy of Ghana in Prague, the Czech National Film Archive among other partners, the event will feature film screenings, art exhibitions, and panel discussions.

What can postcolonial architecture show us about inequality in African cities? And what role did Czechoslovak experts play in Ghana’s development in the 1960s? In this interview, Anna Řičář Libánská (CAFR FF UK) is introducing, Irene Addo, an architect and researcher at the University of Ghana . She discusses her work on African urbanism, shares insights from her current projects on climate adaptation and architectural education, and reflects on the architectural and technical cooperation between Czechoslovakia and Ghana during the Nkrumah era.

THIS WEDNESDAY 🗓️ The Horizon Europe-funded scientific project “Colonial Legacies of Universities: Materialities and New Collaborations – COLUMN” will officially launch on Wednesday, 15 October 2025, from 14:30-17:00 at the Hall of Patriots in the Rectorate Building of Charles University, Prague (Ovocný trh 560/5, Prague 1)

🇿🇦The event will feature a presentation of the project by Gertjan Plets, principal investigator and Associate Professor of Cultural History and Heritage at Utrecht University, as well as a keynote by Loretta Feris, Vice-Principal of the University of Pretoria, with the title Education in Displacement: Universities as Sites of Memory and Change.
