Prague Centre for Korean Studies a KoEBI vás srdečně zvou na mezinárodní konferenci "Korea and the Eastern Bloc: Conference on the Onset of the Cold War and the Involvement of Eastern Bloc Countries", která se zaměří na zapojení zemí východního bloku do korejských záležitostí v 50. a 60. letech 20. století. Čekají vás dva dny plné odborných panelů o diplomatických vztazích, kulturní výměně i osobních svědectvích.

The Prague Centre for Korean Studies and KoEBI cordially invite you to the international conference "Korea and the Eastern Bloc: Conference on the Onset of the Cold War and the Involvement of Eastern Bloc Countries.” The event will explore the involvement of Eastern Bloc countries in Korea during the 1950s and 1960s, featuring panels on diplomatic relations, cultural exchange, and personal testimonies.

Zveme Vás na výstavu „Ruku v ruce s Koreou: (po)válečná léta“

Oddělení koreanistiky ÚAS a KoEBI pro Vás připravuje výstavu, která představí málo známé stránky společné historie Československa a KLDR během korejské války a poválečného období.
Výstava představí mimo jiné příběhy korejských sirotků v Československu, působení československých lékařů v KLDR a účast ČSR v Dozorčí komisi neutrálních států prostřednictvím autentických fotografií a dokumentů.
Pro návštěvu sledujte doprovodné akce a prohlídky na přiloženém webu.

Tento projekt vzniká pod hlavičkou výzkumného institutu KoEBI (Korea and the Eastern Bloc Institute) na Univerzitě Karlově, který se věnuje studiu vztahů mezi Koreou a Východním blokem.

Exhibition: “Hand in Hand with Korea: Postwar Years”

The Department of Korean Studies (ÚAS) and KoEBI are preparing an exhibition that will showcase little-known aspects of the shared history of Czechoslovakia and the DPRK during the Korean War and the post-war period.

Among other things, the exhibition will present stories of Korean orphans in Czechoslovakia, the work of Czechoslovak doctors in the DPRK, and Czechoslovakia’s participation in the Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission, presented through authentic photographs and documents.

For visits, please follow accompanying events and guided tours on the attached website.

V pátek 5.9.2025 proběhne na koreanistice FFUK společné doktorandské kolokvium se studenty a profesory z Hamburské univerzity a Univerzity Johanna Wolfganga Goetha ve Frankfurtu.

On Friday, 5 September, 2025, a joint doctoral colloquium will be held at the Korean Studies Department of the Faculty of Arts, Czech Republic with students and professors from the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt and Hamburg University.
