Annual Conference of the International Society for the Empirical Study of Literature (IGEL) 2024 to take place in Aachen
The Aachen Center for Cognitive and Empirical Literary Study and the English Department of RWTH Aachen Uniersity are proud to announce that they will host the annual conference of the International Society for the Empirical Study of Literature (IGEL*) from July 18th to july 20th 2024. Confirmed key note speakers are James Carney, Marcello Giovanelli, and Berenike Herrmann. I couldn't be more thrilled to be part of this.

Changes at English and American Studies, RWTH Aachen University: Sadly Jan Alber and Deborah de Muijnck have left RWTH English for JLU Giessen. Good luck, Deborah and Jan! There's hardly a better place in Germany to do the stuff you are interested in. (Apart from Aachen, of course ;-)). The upside of this is that we can welcome Paul Sopcak as acting professor and Kathrin Vaßen as a new staff member. We are very happy to have you on the team, Kathrin and Paul.
