Die RWTH International Academy als offizielle Weiterbildungsakademie der RWTH Aachen University hat zum Auftrag, die Verzahnung zwischen beruflicher und akademischer Bildung zu fördern und weiter zu entwickeln. Ziel ist es, das Wissen für neue Zielgruppen in Form von anwendungsorientierten Weiterbildungsformaten und -programmen nutzbar zu machen und einen nachhaltigen Beitrag zum lebenslangen Lernen zu leisten.

How can it already be the final attendance phase? 🦷

It’s hard to believe that our Paroma 2025 class has completed its final on-campus phase in Aachen.

The module focused on Implantology and Lasers in Periodontal Therapy, giving students valuable hands-on experience, insight into real clinical cases, and the opportunity to deepen their practical skills alongside experienced lecturers.

A big thank you to all our students and lecturers for their dedication throughout this journey.

Now, the final milestone awaits: the Master’s thesis. We wish the entire Paroma 2025 class every success!

BIM-Technologie und modernste Fertigung hautnah erleben! 🚀

Unsere neue Kohorte des RWTH BIM Talent Programms hatte die Gelegenheit, die Viega World in Attendorn zu besuchen – einen Ort, an dem Innovation, Nachhaltigkeit und digitales Bauen zusammenkommen.

Die vollständig mit Building Information Modeling (BIM) geplante Viega World zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie digitale Planung und moderne Bauprozesse die Zukunft des Bauens gestalten.

Unsere Talente erkundeten die interaktive Ausstellungsfläche, erhielten exklusive Einblicke hinter die Kulissen und lernten modernste Fertigungstechnologien, automatisierte Produktionsprozesse sowie eine der modernsten Logistikzentralen der Branche kennen.

Ein besonderes Highlight war die Präsentation ihrer Projekte zu den Themen Nachhaltigkeit und Vorfertigung sowie der gemeinsame Austausch über ihre bisherigen Erfahrungen.

Together with our Accreditation & Quality and Student Success Management teams, we discuss what works well, where we can do even better, and how we can continue creating an outstanding learning experience.

How do you prepare for the unexpected in dental pratice?🦷

During the latest on-campus phase in Aachen, our students focused on the modules "Emergency" and "Maintenance", strengthening their clinical knowledge not only for periodontal emergencies, but also medical situations that can occur in everyday dental practice.

Interested in how our part-time M. Sc. Periodontology program combines academic learning with hands-on clinical training?

To build confidence for real-life scenarios, our students practiced different emergency situations and learned how to respond when quick decisions are needed. And the highlight? Our lecturers stepping into the role of patients, making the training as realisticas possible. The “Maintenance, Peri-Implantitis and DVT Diagnostics” module brought the dental focus back in, giving students hands-on experience with modern techniques, equipment, and digital implant workflows.

Thank you to all lecturers and students for making this phase an inspiring exchange of knowledge and collaboration. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to Aachen in August!
