At , learning doesn't end at the classroom 🧬🤖

Last week, LSM students spent their time connecting with the life science ecosystem at bio:cap 2026, where they met representatives from startups, scale-ups, research organizations, and established biotech and pharmaceutical companies from Berlin and across Europe.

Beyond networking, students also explored one of the hottest topics in the industry today: Agentic AI in Life Sciences. Through workshops and discussions, they gained insights into how autonomous AI systems are transforming research, drug development, decision-making, and business processes across the life science value chain.

Experiences like bio:cap highlight one of the greatest advantages of studying in Berlin. As one of Europe's leading life science hubs, the city offers direct access to industry leaders, innovative startups, investors, researchers, and cutting-edge events—all within reach of the classroom.

We're especially proud of our students for investing their own time to stay ahead of industry trends, expand their professional networks, and engage with the future of life sciences. That's the kind of curiosity, initiative, and ambition that defines the LSM community. 🚀

Because at LSM, building your future career starts long before graduation.

🎉🧬 "Having great ideas is important. But turning them into products, businesses, and real-world impact—that's what truly matters."

At our celebration, Prof. Dr. Annabella Rauscher-Scheibe, President of HTW Berlin, shared a powerful perspective on why programs like the MBA & Engineering in Life Science Management are more relevant than ever.

Drawing on her own experience transitioning from a scientific background into industry, she reflected on a challenge familiar to many life science professionals: while technical expertise is essential, it is often not enough on its own. Today's biotech, pharma, and healthcare sectors need professionals who can bridge disciplines, communicate across teams, understand business realities, and lead innovation from idea to implementation.

As President of one of Germany's largest Universities of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Rauscher-Scheibe highlighted the unique role that LSM plays in preparing exactly these kinds of professionals. By bringing together students from different countries, cultures, and scientific disciplines, the program creates an environment where future leaders learn to collaborate, think strategically, and transform scientific knowledge into real-world impact.

She also emphasized one of HTW Berlin's defining strengths: a practical, industry-connected approach to education. Through experienced faculty, guest experts from biotech and pharma, and strong industry partnerships, LSM equips students with the skills needed to move beyond technical ex*****on and become decision-makers in the life science sector.

Perhaps the most meaningful endorsement came from the sight of alumni returning from across the world to celebrate this milestone—a testament to the lasting impact of the program and the community it has built over the past decade. 🌍💙

Thank you, Prof. Dr. Rauscher-Scheibe, for helping us celebrate this important anniversary and for your continued support of a program that has spent 10 years bridging life science and business.

Weekends in Berlin sometimes mean stepping straight into the heart of the industry 🌍🧬

Last weekend, students attended Life Summit 2026 Berlin, one of Europe’s leading gatherings for innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, researchers, and industry leaders shaping the future of healthcare and biotechnology.

Experiences like this highlight one of the biggest advantages of studying at LSM in Berlin: access. Access to industry events, international networks, emerging startups, global companies, and the people building the future of healthcare.

We are especially proud that our students chose to spend their weekend investing in their professional growth, expanding their network, and staying connected to the latest developments in biotech and pharma. That curiosity, initiative, and commitment to learning are exactly what define the LSM community.

Because in Berlin, your education doesn’t stop when class ends.
