Our classes are taught in English, the language of business and academia. At Touro you can study for your degree in English in the heart of Berlin, the capital of Germany and one of the most vibrant cities in Europe. We are truly international - in fact, more than 50% of our students have an international background. And all our students have the opportunity to study at least

We are one of the few institutions in Europe to offer American accredited degrees. Our degrees include Business (with concentrations in management, finance and marketing) and Psychology. EXCLUSIVE MASTER PROGRAMS
- Master of Business Administration: Our Master of Business Administration program is taught by experienced business instructors, a number of which have graduated from various Ivy league schools. Through its interdisciplinary curriculum and its practitioner-oriented approach, it offers both novice and seasoned managers a comprehensive business education.

- Master of Arts in Holocaust Communication and Tolerance: We offer a curriculum unique in Germany which combines Holocaust Studies and Communication, Jewish Studies, and Tolerance communication while integrating Berlin sites, memorials, and archives. A campus for international dialogue. 🌍

This week, we were honored to host our friends from Tel-Hai University in northern Israel for the 5th Tel-Hai International Conference on the Holocaust and Genocide at Touro University Berlin.

The conference brought together scholars and participants from Israel, Germany, the United States, Sweden, Poland and Italy for two days of exchange on our campus.

The conference was chaired by Dr. Tamir Hod of Tel-Hai University and Prof. Stephan Lehnstaedt, Professor of Holocaust Studies at Touro University Berlin.

Our Prof. Peter Klein, Dean of the MA in Holocaust Studies, also contributed to the academic program, alongside international scholars, educators and young voices from Israel sharing their personal experiences after October 7.

Discussions explored Holocaust memory and research, survival and justice, antisemitism, education, and the challenges of remembrance in the aftermath of October 7.

Thank you to everyone who brought their research, perspectives and voices to Berlin.

52 nations. One unique campus. 🌍

When students from 52 different nations come together in one place, intercultural awareness isn’t just a nice extra — it’s part of everyday campus life.

That’s why Day 2 of Orientation started with an Intercultural Awareness Workshop led by Prof. Larisa Buhin-Krenek.

And starting somewhere new also comes with questions that go far beyond the classroom. This semester, our students have even more people to turn to:

Dr. Matthew Lee joins us as Student Adjustment Support Coordinator, helping students navigate the transition into university life.

Relocation and immigration expert Tal Gibesh will be on campus once a week to support students with the practical side of life in Germany — from visas and healthcare to German bureaucracy.

And John Gilbert is here as our Veterans Service Officer, supporting our veteran students throughout their Touro journey.

And yes… we ended Orientation the Touro Berlin way: together in the garden, with a big BBQ. 💙💛

What better way to start in Berlin than from the water? 🚤

After a full first day of Orientation on campus, our new students headed out for a boat tour through Berlin — a chance to see the city from a different perspective, spend more time together and simply enjoy their first days here.

Because getting to know your university is one thing.
Getting to know the city you’ll call home is part of the experience too.

And that was only Day 1. 💙

Meet María, one of our Psychology graduates.

Looking back on her time at Touro Berlin, one moment stands above the rest: completing and defending her bachelor’s thesis. Months of research, dedication, and hard work came together in one unforgettable achievement.

Now, María is already looking ahead. Her next goal is to pursue a Master’s degree in Intercultural Psychology in Lisbon, Portugal; a logical step after experiencing over 48 nations and different cultures at the Touro Berlin campus.

When looking back on her time at Touro Berlin, one thing stands out above all else: the friendships she built along the way.

Her advice to future students?

“I actually wanted to become an astronaut.”

Meet Prof. Dr. Nidal Toman, who teaches Neuroscience at Touro University Berlin’s Psychology Department.

His academic path began with research on the nervous system, particularly the brain, in the framework of space medicine.
Later, during his medical studies, he discovered his real call: the precision and craft of surgery.

For him, neuroscience, research, and surgery are not contradictions — they are connected by one question: how do we better understand and improve the human body and mind?

At Touro Berlin, students learn from faculty whose expertise goes beyond one discipline — bringing real-world experience, research, passion and sometimes the ultimate call into one classroom.”

Meet Cameron, a graduate of our M.A. in Holocaust and Tolerance Studies.
For Cameron, the program was more than earning a degree. It was a chance to engage with history beyond textbooks and classrooms.
Through study trips and site visits, students experience what Cameron calls “hands-on history” — authentic and unbiased learning directly from the places, stories, and historical landscapes that shaped the past.
As the only Master’s program of its kind in the European Union, Holocaust Studies at Touro Berlin offers a unique way to explore Holocaust history in an international and interdisciplinary environment.

AI can help us to write faster.

But learning how to write — how to structure thoughts, shape ideas, build characters, give feedback, and develop your own voice — is needed more than ever.

This summer, adjunct professor Brad, Huestis, JD, an award-winning author, taught an intensive two-week Creative Writing course at Touro Berlin.

Students explored dialogue, character, plot, structure, and peer review — with one clear focus: their own creativity and how to express it.

AI can be an enhancement for the human creativity and judgement. Thus, these two, human creativity and judgement, will become even more important.

Tools can generate words.
But students still need space to discover and learn what they want to say and how.

Meet Josi, Psychology graduate, Salutatorian of the Class of 2026, and one of the student voices that inspired us all on graduation day. 🎓

In her commencement speech, Josi reflected on what Touro Berlin has meant to her: the strongest friendships, endless lessons, and her very first community in a big city.

During her studies, she also spent a semester abroad at Touro University in New York, experiencing life in another global metropolis. Yet when asked which campus felt more like home, her answer was clear:

The close-knit community, the personal connections, and the family atmosphere made all the difference.
