Join us for Elvan Tekin's X Ê R on 05. & 06. July at 7pm!

X Ê R investigates voice in language, identity, and the body. Seeing the body and language as processes of constructing identity, X Ê R deals with voice that is in a state of flux, seeking new terrains of being and existing. Voice is perceived as an integral part of this flux to redirect and rebalance the body, voice as an aspect of spoken language, of silence or, more contextually, of being heard, seen, and understood or not understood.

Down, down, down into a strange world in which conventional ideas are distorted. Falling into the abyss means an inevitable transformation. How can individual bodies remember the power of the collective they are part of? Physical and symbolic boundaries are experimentally set in motion to create a new form of communication.

𝗕𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗳𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁: 18.04.2024, 15.00 Uhr

Die Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt vergibt– vorbehaltlich der zur Verfügung stehenden Haushaltsmittel – in den Jahren 2024 und 2025 Stipendien im Bereich Tanz.

Das Stipendium ist zur Förderung der nachhaltigen künstlerischen Entwicklung von professionell ausgebildeten und/oder arbeitenden Tänzer und Tänzerinnen, Choreografen und Choreografinnen und freien Gruppen mit Wohnsitz in Berlin bestimmt. Kriterien für die Vergabe eines Stipendiums sind in erster Linie die Qualität der aktuellen künstlerischen Praxis, die Kontinuität und öffentliche Sichtbarkeit der bisherigen künstlerischen Praxis mit Blick auf eine Bereicherung der (Stadt-)Gesellschaft.

Save the Date for "4 Legs Good" by Claire Cunningham, a Lecture Demonstration on 2. November, 7 pm .

Claire Cunningham will share her distinct movement style Quanimacy, illustrating how the use/misuse, study and distortion of her crutches as well as rejecting formal dance training and techniques created for non-disabled bodies have informed her practice.
She will discuss how her focus has shifted from exploring the connection between her crutches and her body to investigating how her crutches connect her to the world; how her work is influenced by her lived experience of disability and its impact on how society thinks about knowledge, value, connection, and interdependence.

𝗕𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗳𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁: 03.11.2023

Im Rahmen des Berliner Residenzprogramms Tanz lädt das radialsystem mit den "Body Time Space Residenzen" in 2024 erneut zwei Berliner Künstler*innen(-Gruppen) zu jeweils vierwöchigen Residenzphasen ein. Ziel ist es, Tanzschaffenden in den Studios des radialsystems in einem freien und gleichzeitig geschützten Rahmen eine Vertiefung und Weiterentwicklung ihres bereits bestehenden künstlerischen Fokus zu ermöglichen. Der Begriff Residenz ist dabei geprägt von einer Offenheit gegenüber dem Ergebnis des künstlerischen Arbeitsprozesses und von dem Bewusstsein, dass Zeit und Raum essentiell sind für die künstlerische Entwicklung.
