vertritt als unabhängiger Verein die Promovierenden gegenüber der Universität und führt Aktivitäten zur Vernetzung und Weiterbildung durch. Yesterday, in addition to our traditional meeting, we did some career path reflections, shared our experiences, had interesting discussions and learned something new from each other.

Our Doc, , who is doing his PhD in Physics, said: “The more you observe, the more you learn,” when we discussed repetitive tasks while running experiments. It was really interesting to hear different perspectives and see how differently we approach similar experiences during our PhDs.

Our Doc Café takes place at Campus Mitte of .uni (ISC, r.1068 HU main building).
The Doc Café is an informal weekly meeting to get to know other doctoral candidates and the HU-Docs association. The ideal meeting point for all those who are new to HU-Docs! There is no set programme, the language is German or English as required. We have free coffee and biscuits. See you friday at 2pm-3.30pm in the ISC (HU main building; room 1068). ☕🍵🍪

The next Stammtisch will take place next week on Thursday, 2 May, at 7pm in the Bar Kaschk (Linienstraße 40, 10119 Berlin).

The Stammtisch, which we organise together with the doctoral student representatives of the Faculty of Life Sciences, is an informal meeting for .uni doctoral students. Join us to talk about your experiences and problems along the way, meet new people and discover the city together. Doctoral students from all faculties are welcome, registration is not required.

🚨🚨HU-Docs weekly writing meet-up in Adlershof🚨🚨
You can’t find time or motivation to write your thesis and papers? Look no further: We offer regular biweekly meet-ups in .uni campus Adlershof on every second Thursday starting at 16:00, where PhD students come together to dedicate time to writing💻📝. The aim is to establish a supportive environment for all PhD students with ✨FREE COFFEE and COOKIES✨ to either start drafting your thesis & papers or to focus on completing them.
The first meetup is at the IRIS Adlershof (link 1) in room 1.121 (link 2) starting on Thursday, April 25 at 16:00 until 19:00.
