Der AStA der University of Europe vertritt Eure Interessen gegenüber der Hochschule. Macht mit! // Also, schreibt uns!

Die Studenten an der University of Europe bilden laut Berliner Hochschulgesetz (BerlHG) die Verfasste Studierendenschaft. Die einzelnen Studiengänge wählen semesterweise Vertreter, die das Studierendenparlament bilden, und jenes wiederum wählt den Allgemeinen Studierendenausschuss, kurz AStA. Wir sind dazu da, um:
- an der Universität eine bessere Kommunikation zwischen Hochschule und Studenten zu

etablieren
- Probleme, Hinweise, (aber auch Lob) an die Hochschule weiterzuleiten und zu diskutieren
- die Studenten in allen relevanten Gremien zu vertreten

Daneben haben wir laut BerlHG folgenden Aufgaben nachzukommen:
- die Meinungsbildung in der Gruppe der Studierenden zu ermöglichen
- zu hochschul- oder wissenschaftspolitischen Fragen Stellung zu nehmen
- die politische Bildung und die Bereitschaft der Studierenden zur aktiven Toleranz sowie zum Eintreten für die Grund- und Menschenrechte zu fördern
- kulturelle, fachliche, wirtschaftliche und soziale Belange der Studierenden wahrzunehmen
- die Integration ausländischer Studierender zu fördern
- den Studierendensport zu fördern
- die überregionalen und internationalen Studierendenbeziehungen zu pflegen
- die Erreichung der Ziele des Studiums zu fördern. Wir haben für jeden und (fast) alles ein offenes Ohr, das Ihr unter [email protected] oder über diese Seite erreichen könnt.

Dear students,

as you may know, we recently re-elected our BOARD MEMBERS AND HEAD OF COMMITTEES and we want to present them to you!

We meet bi-weekly on Mondays at 19:00 in room 1.16/1.17 to talk current things through. It is open to the student body and anyone who wants to join the meeting or the AStA is very welcome. Meetings are announced regularly on the social media and via University email.

Since we want to represent you and give the students a voice, we encourage you to get in touch with us with whatever question/criticism/etc. you might have through our Facebook chat or via e-mail: [email protected]

AStA is the German abbreviation for “Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss”, which means “General Students Committee”. We represent you and University-related interests or concerns you may have.

The AStA consists of 4 Committees:

COMMUNICATION COMMITTEE (CC)
Ensures students are up to date and informed about events and important information about or from the University using social media, posters, brochures and other mediums.

FINANCE COMMITTEE (FC)
Regulates the AStA budget, calculates our expenses etc.

UNIVERSITY & STUDENT COMMITTEE (USC)
A platform for the students to communicate their concerns to the university and vice versa. We also offer student to student consult.

SPORTS & EVENT COMMITTEE (SEC)
Takes care of organizing events, sports, talks with professors, workshops etc.

Come with friends to our bi-weekly event and chill out with us!

Game Night is a regular event happening every two weeks on which students can play all types of games with cheap beer (1€) and cool music. This time we prepared for you poker (without money!), mafia/werewolf and many boardgames! ⁣⁣

Everybody is allowed to bring their own games or game ideas!⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We hope to see you there, you are welcomed to share the event!⁣⁣

WE HAVE STARTED WITH ASTA OFFICE HOURS! ⁣

Something or someone at the University is bothering you but you don’t know who can help you or you don’t feel like talking to the authorities? Come to us, we will listen to you and try to give our best advice! ⁣

You can come between 10:00-13:00 on Tuesdays or between 16:00-18:00 on Thursdays to our office (1.33). ⁣

We had an amazing night celebrating the start of a new semester ! ⁣

Can’t believe how many showed up to the . It was a success for the first time organising a party like this outside of the university. Thanks everyone who helped out and showed up! ⁣
