The International Student Council (ISR) is an independent international student representative body at University Bielefeld. ISR works with university administration and AStA, advocating for interests and needs of international students. Our aims

Willkommen Erstis und internationale Studis! Der Internationaler Studierenden Rat (ISR), kümmert sich um die Belange aller ausländischer Studierenden. Die Aufgabengebiete sind sehr breit angelegt und reichen von der typischen Interessenvertretung bis zum Bereitstellen unterschiedlicher Serviceleistungen. Mit einer sehr engen Zusammenarbeit mit AStA. Die Durchsetzung studentischer Belange gegenüber Rektorat, Verwaltung und politischen AkteurInnen ist die zentrale Säule der Arbeit. Der AStA bietet aber auch ein breites Spektrum an Beratungen an, kümmert sich um das Semesterticket, verwaltet das AudiMin und kümmert sich um eine Vielzahl politischer und kultureller Angebote. Unsere Aufgaben:
Betreuung aller ausländischen Studierenden
Organisation von Sportveranstaltungen
Hilfe bei der Wohnungssuche
Beratung für Studienmöglichkeiten und -schwierigkeiten
Tandempartnervermittlung
Organisation von internationalen Partys
Filmabende
Ausflüge
Das ISR ist für euch und eure Belange am Montag, Dienstag und Freitag (12-14Uhr) und am Mittwoch (08-10Uhr) , auf der Galerie erreichbar. „C1-172“ Anregungen, Kritik, gerne auch Lob an.

Dear International Students,

The life of studying abroad has brought us a lot, and at the same time, due to cultural differences and other reasons, identity confusion in another country or culture may arise. Therefore, we have planned to organize a digital movie evening on this topic. The event will take place online via Zoom at 18.30 on 29.06.2021 (tomorrow). Participation in the event is free for all the students.

We will watch the film "Im Land meiner Kinder (In the land of my children)" online. This film is directed by the South American director Darío Aguirre, and after watching the movie we will then have a discussion session with the director himself.

Dear International Students,

We are back again for you with another exciting activity in this online semester. This time we have brought “Online Photo Competition” for all international students of Bielefeld University.
As we know the city with big-city flair and rural life “Bielefeld” has a quaint historic district dating back to the Middle Ages and numerous greens and parks. Therefore, you have many site scenes in Bielefeld that can be captured from your camera.

This is a great chance to explore the beautiful city - Bielefeld in this sunny weather while maintaining social distancing and hygiene regulations as instructed by the state.

Organization of this event:

- We will collect your pictures with suitable captions and details from our form until the 30th of June 2021.

Dear Students,

We hope that you all are having a nice week.

To those of you who have been finding it difficult to start your studies or have been putting it off more than you would like: The ZSB invites you to a training group in English: “Not all those who wander are lost: how to make friends with procrastination", first meeting on Tuesday, June 15th, from 16 to 17:30 h by zoom conference.

This is a weekly training group that offers you the opportunity to actually bring the work that you have been putting off to the session, learn the skills needed to face procrastination head-on and apply them in the very session to carry on your work together. This 7-week training will be guided by Kim Dang (Bielefeld University, MSc Psych), and will be a supportive and confidential space (according to data privacy rules). Registration until Sunday, June 13th, by mail [email protected]. International and German students are welcome.
