Dear fellow students
it's time again to elect a nominee for the annual Lehrpreis 2022. If you have been around for a while, you already know what this means, if you're new to the department we'll explain it in the following.
The "Lehrpreis" is a prize annually given to three teachers of the philosophical faculty. It serves to value and honour special teaching qualities and is an acknowledgement of the Bonn University to reward exquisite teaching.
Your job is to nominate a person whose way of teaching is outstanding to you - even or especially, but not necessarily only - considering the digital teaching during this pandemic.
Your nomination should include the lecturers name and an explanation that goes beyond: "I think that person is cool". Valid reasons for a nomination could include the following aspects; the teacher:
has didactic abilities, evokes or deepens your interest in a subject, has interest in the students and offers support – in academic context or also concerning your mental health, is present and approachable via e-mail or in office hours (mind that the workload of e-mail traffic is enhanced due to the situation), fits the course's content to the topic, mediates contacts to jobs or internships, grades fair and reasonably, helps you think outside the box, has a creative way of mediating knowledge.
