Für die diesjährige Konferenzplattform LABOR.A der Hans-Böckler-Stiftung zum Thema „Gute Arbeit in der Transformation“ hat der Lehrstuhl Betriebswirtschaftslehre, insbes. Finanzdienstleistungen und Finanztechnologie einen Wissenschaftspodcast zum Thema Datenschutz und Datensouveränität in der digitalen Arbeitswelt erstellt.

In diesem Rahmen haben Sina Häusler, Lars Hornuf und Sonja Mangold drei Folgen konzipiert:

Die erste Folge, die von Sina Häusler moderiert wird, beschäftigt sich mit den Chancen und Risiken datengetriebener Geschäftsmodellen in der digitalen Arbeitswelt.

Die eingeladenen Expert:innen sind:
Dr. Imke Sommer (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit im Land Bremen) und Prof. Dr. Dirk Heckmann (TU München).

In der zweiten Folge diskutiert Sina Häusler mit ihren Gästen über das Sozialkreditsystem in China.

Die eingeladenen Expert:innen sind:
Dr. Andreas Kowallik (Steuerberater) und Prof. Dr. Denis-Kenji Kipker (Universität Bremen und Hochschule Bremen).

Die letzte Folge, die von Sonja Mangold moderiert wird, behandelt die notwendige rechtliche Weiterentwicklung des Beschäftigungsdatenschutzes in der Digitalisierung.

Im kommenden Finance Research Seminar wird Prof. Dr. Luc Renneboog der Tilburg University einen Vortrag zum Thema „𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐬, 𝐄𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬“ halten:

We study pricing in the art auction market, focusing on the impact of color composition in non-figurative paintings on hammer prices and willingness-to-pay, by means of both field and laboratory data. Our field data, consisting of art auction prices, reveal a color hierarchy reflected in hammer prices: a one standard deviation increase in the percentage of blue (red) hue triggers a premium of 10.63% (4.20%). We conducted laboratory experiments in the US, China, and Europe, and elicited participants’ willingness-to-pay and measured emotions. We find that blue and red paintings command a premium: blue (red) paintings generate 18.57% (17.28%) higher bids. Color influences prices through the channel of emotional pleasure rather than arousal. Our results are consistent across all three cultures and independent of individual traits such as gender, risk aversion, education and cultural background.

In the master seminar on „Social Entrepreneurship, Good Corporate Governance and Sustainable Investment“, organized by Dr. Sonja Mangold there will be some talks on current topics. All interested parties are welcome.

On 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟲𝘁𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭, 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗮-𝗞𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗭𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲 (𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆, 𝗕𝗠𝗪𝗶) will present the work of the National Contact Point for the implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. In the first part of the lecture, Mrs. Strathmann will shed light on the content and implementation conditions of the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises. In the second part, Mr. Zasche will take a look from a broader perspective on the subject of business and human rights.

The talks will take place from 𝟮:𝟭𝟱 𝗽.𝗺. 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝟮:𝟰𝟱 𝗽.𝗺. 𝘃𝗶𝗮 Z𝗼𝗼𝗺. This is followed by a round of questions and a discussion.

Today Professor Lars Hornuf gave a lecture with the title “𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤” at the Bundesbank conference “Fintech and its Impact on Central Banking.” Among others he summarizes the research findings from several current publications, including:
