📢 IWIS Lecture Series
📌 Lecture 3: Fundamental Aspects in Impedance Spectroscopy
📅 Wednesday, 3rd June | ⏰ 16:00 CET | 💻 Online
👩🏫 Speaker: Prof. Olfa Kanoun
Professor of Measurement and Sensor Technology, TU Chemnitz
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Olfa Kanoun (Senior Member, IEEE) is a Full Professor at Chemnitz University of Technology and a leading figure in impedance spectroscopy, having co-founded the International Workshop on Impedance Spectroscopy (IWIS, 2008) and the IEEE IMS Technical Committee on Impedance Spectroscopy (TC2, 2018). Her research focuses on extracting electrochemical and physical process signatures such as charge transfer, diffusion, and interfacial capacitance from broadband impedance spectra, with applications in battery diagnostics, biomedical sensing, and nanocomposite-based flexible sensors, including their deployment on energy-autonomous wireless platforms. With over 700 publications and an H-index of 49, she is consistently ranked among the global Top 2% of scientists and received the IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society Technical Award (2022) for pioneering the evolution of impedance spectroscopy from laboratory scale to field sensors.
