Willkommen im ersten Semester in Chemnitz! - Welcome to your first semester in Chemnitz!

Liebste Erstis,
hallo und herzlich willkommen an der Technischen Universität Chemnitz! Wir haben uns alle sehr auf euch gefreut und sind super happy, dass ihr trotz der schwierigen Situation den Weg zu uns gefunden habt. Euch erwarten spannende Jahre, viel Arbeit, noch mehr Spaß und Freunde fürs Leben.
Um euch den Uni Alltag zu erleichtern und nicht zuletzt, eure Rechte gegenüber der Uni durchzusetzen, gibt es die gewählte Studierendenvertretung. Die Hauptakteure habt ihr vermutlich schon kennen gelernt, eure Fachschaftsräte. Die sind immer für euch da, egal ob ihr Probleme im Studium habt, mit Dozent_innen, Inhalten oder lange Weile. Denn sie machen die besten Partys und Veranstaltungen!
Die Fachschaften wählen den StuRa und sind je nach Anzahl ihrer Studis in diesem höchsten studentischen Gremium vertreten - naja und das wären dann wir. Der StuRa macht weniger Party, dafür mit seinen 14 Referaten viel inhaltliche Arbeit, wie Kultur, Antidiskriminierung, Ökologie u. Nachhaltigkeit, Hochschulpolitik und vieles mehr... und natürlich auch ein bisschen Party. Wenn ihr mehr wissen wollt, schaut auf unserer Webseite (stura.cc) vorbei oder schreibt uns über unsere Socialmedia Kanäle.
Und weil es unsere Aufgabe ist Schaden und Unglück von unseren Studis fernzuhalten, hier auch noch ein paar wichtige Punkte zu den ersten Tagen. Wir wissen es läuft noch nicht alles glatt, aber wir tun alle unser Bestes und gemeinsam kriegen wir das hin!
💌 Ihr habt noch keine Immatrikulationsunterlagen bekommen? Keine Panik! Durch die verlängerten Fristen und gleichzeitig weniger Personal im StudSek verzögert sich die Übersendung der Unterlagen. Alle arbeiten so schnell sie können!
💻 Ihr braucht eure Immatrikulationsbescheinigung? Logt euch mit eurer Bewerber-ID im SB Bereich der Uni-Webseite ein, dort könnt ihr eure Bescheide runterladen und ausdrucken.
📝 Ihr könnt euch nicht bei Opal für die Kurse anmelden? Fragt bei euren FSRä nach Hilfe oder schreibt die Dozent*innen direkt an. Ihr seid nicht die einzigen mit diesem Problem!
🚌 Ihr wollt Bus und Bahn fahren, habt aber noch keine TUCard? Wir arbeiten unter Hochdruck daran heute noch eine Übergangslösung zu finden!

Dearest freshmen,
Hello and welcome to Chemnitz University of Technology! We were all looking forward to meeting you and are super happy that you found your way to us despite the difficult situation. You can expect exciting years, a lot of work, even more fun and friends for life.
To make your everyday life at the university easier and last but not least to enforce your rights towards the university, there is the elected student representation. You have probably already got to know the main players, the "Fachschaftsräte" your student representatives. They are always there for you, no matter if you have problems during your studies, with lecturers, contents or a long time. Because they make the best parties and events!
The student representatives elect the StuRa and, depending on the number of their students, are represented in this highest student committee - well, and that would be us. The StuRa doesn't party as much, but with its 14 presentations it does a lot of work on content, such as culture, anti-discrimination, ecology and sustainability, university policy and much more... and of course a little party. If you want to know more, have a look at our website (stura.cc) or write us via our social media channels.
And because it's our job to keep harm and misfortune away from our students, here are a few important points about the first days. We know that not everything is going well yet, but we all do our best and together we can do it!
💌 You haven't received your matriculation documents yet? Don't panic! Due to the extended deadlines and at the same time less staff in StudSek, the sending of the documents is delayed. Everyone is working as fast as they can!
💻 You need your matriculation certificate? Log in with your applicant ID in the self-service area of the university website, there you can download and print your certificates.
📝 You can't register for the courses at Opal? Ask your FSRä for help or write to the lecturers directly. You are not the only ones with this problem!
🚌 You want to go by bus or train but don't have a TUCard yet? We are working hard to find an interim solution today!
