Jedes Jahr veröffentlicht die WirtschaftsWoche in Zusammenarbeit mit der Beratungsgesellschaft Universum ein Ranking über die besten Hochschulen und Fachhochschulen Deutschlands. Das Besondere an diesem Ranking ist, dass es die Hochschulen aus Sicht der Unternehmen bewertet. Bundesweit wurden dazu Personaler aus verschiedenen Branchen und Unternehmen befragt, welche Hochschule die Studierenden am besten auf die Bedürfnisse ihres Unternehmens ausbildet. ENGLISH VERSION:
Every year the renowned business magazine “WirtschaftsWoche” publishes its ranking of the best German universities. Basis for this ranking is a survey conducted in cooperation with the consulting agency Universum. The ranking evaluates the quality of the universities’ graduates. HR managers from different companies and industrial sectors were asked which university equipped students best for their companies' requirements.

Guest Lecture with crossconsulting 💼🏦 We were delighted to welcome Marius Müller Frank and Paul Maurice Lehman from crossconsulting to our CBS Guest Lecture Series, hosted by Prof. Ulrich Anders.

The Cologne-based consulting company specializes in banking, insurance, finance, related software, and venture capital. In their insightful session, Marius and Paul Maurice showed our students how consulting actually works – from generating fees and managing complex projects to bridging the gap between business and technology in the financial sector.

Their advice to our students? Build expertise in a specific area, it always makes sense.

Twice the recognition. Double the motivation. 🏆 We’re thrilled to share that CBS has been named a Top 25 university in the Digital Campus Index 2026 for the second year running since our partnership with UniNow began.

Based on over 25,000 student responses, the award celebrates universities delivering outstanding digital experiences and was presented at the Digital Campus conference in Magdeburg’s iconic Hyparschale, bringing together voices from education, politics, and tech.

Guest Lecture with 1. FC Köln ⚽ We were excited to welcome Frederik Becker, Sustainability Manager at 1. FC Köln, to the CBS Guest Lecture Series, hosted by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Anders.

In his talk, Frederik showed that modern football is far more than competition on the pitch. It’s a complex business ecosystem where tradition meets strategy, and sporting ambition goes hand in hand with sustainability. With billions generated annually through Bundesliga clubs and tens of thousands of jobs created, professional football is a major economic force. But as Frederik made clear: long-term success requires more than revenue. It demands financial discipline, strong stakeholder relationships, and a commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

His powerful reminder to our students? 🌍 Earth is the only planet we can play football on.

Guest Lecture with Teekanne 🍵🤖 We were delighted to welcome Harald Liedtke, CIO of Teekanne, to our NXT GEN Guest Lecture Series, hosted by Prof. Dr. Ulrich Anders.

In his lecture „From Run to Transform: Reframing the CIO Role in the Age of AI“, Harald shared how one of the world’s leading tea companies, founded in 1882 and still family-owned, is navigating digital transformation while controlling the entire value chain from field to cup.

Key insights from his session: 🍃 Full value chain ownership, from sourcing to distribution. 🏆 Market leadership in herbal and fruit teas through continuous innovation. 💼 Redefining the CIO role, from running the business to transforming it. 🤖 Building the right IT architecture as a foundation for AI and future innovation.
