Models Wanted📸
Become an Ambassador for Studying in Germany!🎓🇩🇪

For a professional photo shoot commissioned by the DAAD, photographer Hanna Witte is looking for international students to take part! Together, we want to showcase how attractive studying and student life in Germany can be.

What to expect:
• Compensation: €150 expense allowance
• Time commitment: approx. 8 hours (1 day)
• Date: October 1, 2026
• Location: TH Köln Südstadt Campus
• Use of the photos: Images for the DAAD’s websites, social media channels, and brochures

Important requirements:
• You are currently enrolled as a student at a university in Germany and are between 18 and 30 years old.
• You enjoy being in front of the camera (no modeling experience required) and would like to represent authentic campus life.

Legal requirements:
Signing a model release agreement is required (transfer of image rights for online and print use).

Please send a short e-mail including your name, the name of your study program and 1-2 photos of yourself (pictures taken with a smart phone are absolutely fine) to: [email protected]

⚠️Warning: Swimming in the Rhine is extremely dangerous!

The Rhine may look calm and inviting for a quick swim on a hot summer day, but swimming in the river is extremely dangerous:

🌊The Rhine has powerful currents that pull even experienced swimmers underwater within seconds.

🌀Large ships create strong waves and suction effects that are often invidible from the shore.

‼Every year, people drown in the Rhine because they underestimate the currents‼

For this reason, swimming in the Rhine is prohibited in all of Cologne! (Swimming in the Rhine is defined as intentionally entering or remaining in water more than ankle-deep.)

If you want to swim, please go to a public pool or to one of the approved bathing lakes around Cologne (further info in our story highlights👆)
