Die neue ZfE│JSCA (Ausgabe 147) ist erschienen!

Darin u.a. die Special Sections „Fieldwork meets crisis” und “DGSKA/GAA Prize Winners” mit einer Reflexion von unserem Institutsmitarbeiter Christoph Lange über seine Forschung.

Die Zeitschrift für Ethnologie (ZfE) erschien erstmalig 1869. Die älteren Ausgaben reflektieren nicht nur das Auf und Ab der deutschen, sondern sie sind auch ein Spiegel der internationalen Ethnologie. Wissenschaftler wie z.B. +++Reminder: CfP "The Mediterranean as a (De)Colonial Border Zone" Deadline tomorrow 15 December (!!!)+++

Tomorrow ends the CfP for our workshop panel on "The Mediterranean as a (De)Colonial Border Zone: Socio-Economic Disparities in the Context of Historical and Political Responsibilities" at the upcoming Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sozial- und Kulturanthropologie conference "Contested Knowledge: Anthropological Perspectives" (25 - 28 July 2023 in Munich):

We discuss how anthropology (and related research) should position itself in the study of the Mediterranean as a border zone. How do we produce knowledge in a space where different normative as well as socio-economic foundations of human togetherness, (historical) responsibility for existing inequalities and different strategies of dealing with these problems collide so closely and conflictive? How do we deal with the political dimension of our research? What consequences do demands for the decolonisation of knowledge have for our knowledge practices? Which models of decolonial, activist and participatory research do critically engage with this?
