urs are on wednesdays from 7:10-8:00 pm in the BoSt Room (LG3B Room 0.15 on the same floor as the ERM common room) We'd be glad to see you there! Basic Activities of the BoST

Culture Nights: For one evening, students of the same culture present the region where they are from. A typical cultural night consists of a presentation of the culture, traditional food, dance, games, theatre, ceremonies and lots of fun. Environmental Movies: Every Thursday, the board screens a movie related to an environmental, natural, social, ecological or cultural topic. Updates about the movies are posted in the E-Group and on Facebook regularly. Burg Workshop: Every year in November the board organizes a workshop for a weekend in a youth hostel in the heart of the beautiful Spreewald region to introduce the new ERM students to study course, the region and to the ERM family. Stammtische: Native and non-native speakers of a language meet together once a week and practice a specified language. So far there are the Spanish and the German Stammtische. Any suggestions for more Stammtisches are welcome. Experts Talk: Sometimes we invite experts to speak about matters related to your study course but that are not covered by regular lectures. People bring their experiences and practical knowhow from around the globe.

Dear ERMies 🪴,

What is the BoSt?

The ERM BoSt consists of 9 ERMies which represent the whole ERM student body. The BoSt is the connecting organ between the student body and professors as well as the university.
Our term is ending this semester. Therefore, there are 9 free spots available!

You will be elected for 1 year and within this year have to carry out interesting tasks and other responsibilities.
What are the BoSts responsibilities and tasks?

🎊 Organising events according to your ideas, and standards like Culture Night, Movie Night, parties and trips/workshops.

👥 Supporting students with their studies and interacting with the faculty when problems arise.

📱 Managing social channels.

💡 Other platforms and projects are open to your creativity.

Also note that it’s a voluntary activity, but you get the advantage of both gaining experience of interaction with the department and demonstrating social involvement in your future employment.

How to get in the BoSt?

The BoSt is elected by the whole ERM student community in an anonymous format.

You should send your one page application letter to the BoSt email: [email protected]
Deadline for applications: 20th October 2024.

Here you have a template for your application. Of course, you could also design your own one. The application should contain a short, casual text about yourself and why you would like to join the BoSt. Furthermore, it would be nice if you added a picture of yourself, so that your fellow students could recognize you.

By sending in the application you give us the permission to publish it on Instagram and other social media.
