🎭 Premiere: Ones upon Zeros
We're excited to celebrate the premiere of Ones upon Zeros at tanzhaus nrw, the latest production by Fabien Prioville Dance Company.
As MIREVI, we are proud to have taken over the technical development of the interactive systems behind the performance, contributing our expertise in immersive technologies, real-time interaction, and artistic research.
A big thank you to everyone involved in this inspiring interdisciplinary collaboration. We can't wait to see the work come to life on stage!

🎬✨ AVASTARS – Wenn Drehbücher schon vor dem Dreh erlebbar werden.

Im EFRE-Projekt AVASTARS forschen und entwickeln wir gemeinsam mit unserem Projektpartner LAVAlabs Moving Images an einer KI-basierten und XR-fähigen Softwareplattform für die Prävisualisierung in der Filmproduktion.

Die Idee: Szenen aus dem Drehbuch können frühzeitig mit Avataren visualisiert, räumlich erprobt und gemeinsam weiterentwickelt werden. So entsteht ein digitales Arbeitsumfeld, in dem Regie, Szenenbild, Kamera, Produktion und weitere Gewerke in Echtzeit kollaborieren können.

AVASTARS verbindet Virtual Production, Künstliche Intelligenz und szenische Architektur – und schafft neue Möglichkeiten, filmische Welten effizienter, kreativer und kollaborativer zu planen.

MOVIDA has started!

Movement and Virtual Intelligence for the Development and Accessibility of Artists and Audiences, shortly MOVIDA, explores how AI and related technologies can support contemporary dance by building capacity for artists, enabling audience engagement, and improving accessibility for persons with disabilities and mental health challenges.

The three-year Creative Europe project officially started on 1 April 2026. Partners will organise labs, residencies, showcases, forums, podcasts, and develop an online knowledge & tools hub connecting artists, researchers, and audiences across Europe.

At MIREVI (Hochschule Düsseldorf), we contribute our expertise in virtual reality, interactive media, and interdisciplinary research, strengthening collaboration between artistic practice and technological innovation.

The consortium brings together 11 partners across five countries, including dance centres, academic institutions specialising in AI, and accessibility partners in mental health and disability.

MOVIDA is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union.

Meet the speakers for the Modina Symposium Dancing in the Digital Age: Bodies, Codes and Affective Futures.
�Join Dr. Einav Katan-Schmid for an exploration of how embodied knowledge and dance philosophy engage with AI or be part of Jens Heitjohann’s talk on performance curation and collaborative infrastructure.

Later in the day, Clémence Debaig will present a keynote on dance and technology while foregrounding human connection, empathy and ethical considerations. Last but not least, the day concludes with a lecture performance on Precious Camouflage by Charlotte Triebus.
