Dann buch dir ein Orientierungsgespräch bei uns! 🚀
Der Gründungsservice der HNEE berät Studis, Alumni (bis zu 7 Jahre nach Abschluss) und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeitende zu ihren Gründungsvorhaben – individuell, kostenfrei und auf Augenhöhe.

🎯 Ziel ist es, Hochschulgründungen im Haupt- und Nebenerwerb zu ermöglichen und euch bei der Ideenentwicklung zu unterstützen.

Der Gründungsservice wird mit Mitteln der Europäischen Union (ESF+) und des Landes Brandenburg gefördert.

The HNEE Start-up Service advises students, alumni (up to 7 years after graduation) and academic staff on their start-up projects – on a one-to-one basis, free of charge and as equals.

🎯 The aim is to facilitate university start-ups, whether as a main or secondary source of income, and to support you in developing your ideas.

The Start-up Service is funded by the European Union (ESF+) and the State of Brandenburg.

Şaziye erstellt Fördermittelanträge für solidarische Landwirtschaftsbetriebe (SoLaWi), kleinbäuerliche und ökologische Betriebe sowie Vereine und Organisationen, die nachhaltige Landwirtschaft fördern. 🌱

Şaziye prepares grant applications for community-supported agriculture (CSA) schemes, small-scale and organic farms, as well as associations and organisations that promote sustainable agriculture. 🌱

💬 Şaziye shares her experience of the EXIST-Women grant: "It was particularly helpful that we met regularly throughout the grant period and had a direct point of contact in Aimée [from the HNEE Start-up Centre] – someone who supported us even beyond business matters. She saw us as people, not just our idea: what does self-employment mean for the family, for other areas of life – there was room for all of that."

Christina helps teams and organisations to design their projects in a way that is impact-driven and meaningful, as well as making their social impact measurable and visible. 🌱

💬 Christina’s advice to the new cohort of EXIST-Woman: “I was the only one in the group who didn’t study or work on the side during the three months of the start-up grant. That meant I was able to get a lot out of it. Even so, it was a lot to take in. Try to keep the grant period as free from other commitments as possible because you can get an incredible amount done if you stay focused during that time. It was absolutely brilliant for me.”

💬 In our interview she tells us what helped her to set up a business: "All the information you need to start a business is available online for free. But having someone to help filter through that information – I think that’s really crucial. Having one or more trusted contacts who know their way around starting a business is incredibly valuable. It saves a huge amount of time to seek out people who are happy to share their knowledge. And it’s worth knowing about the many options that are available. Apart from EXIST-Women, there are so many other places you can turn to for advice."

💬 This is how Şaziye experienced starting a business: "Starting a business is both very easy and very difficult. It depends on how you go about it and what kind of business you’re setting up. In theory, it takes just some clicks on the tax office website and you’re self-employed. But if you’re really serious about it, you have to stick with it: constantly motivating yourself and staying disciplined. I’ve learnt a lot about legal and financial matters in the process, but above all, I’ve learnt a great deal about myself and about work. Suddenly, philosophical questions arise: What does work actually mean? What do I want to create? What am I spending my time on?"

💬 Starting a business at the start of your career or later on? This is Christina’s experience: “Perhaps I would have started a business full-time if I were younger. Now I’m less willing to take risks than I used to be. Health is also a bigger concern for me now; you don’t take it for granted anymore. As a self-employed person, you’re not very well covered if you fall ill. However, starting a business in my forties also has the advantage that I already have a lot of professional experience and expertise, and I’m very well connected.”
