Space Society Economy Space – Society – Economy is an international lecture series of the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt

In ENGLISH:
Space – Society – Economy is an international lecture series of the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt with internationally known guest lecturers. It is organized by the professorship of Economic Geography (Prof. Hans-Martin Zademach) in cooperation with the Chair for English Literature (Prof. Richard Nate), the Chair for General Business and Management Accounting (Prof. Anton B

urger) and the International Office of the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt (Dr. Martin Groos). This in 2010 established lecture series invites each semester between four to six international guest lecturers to Eichstaett who present the recent research findings. In GERMAN (from http://www.ku.de/mgf/geographie/wirtschaftsgeographie/spaces/):

This term the Space – Society – Economy lectures focus on Mobility and Migration: Debates and Hot Spots, Challenges and Opportunities.
We will discuss reasons, opportunities and challenges related to movements of people within global processes. The research presented will span from small scale to global analysis, as mobility and migration are to be understood as both transnational processes and local phenomena that are woven into people’s everyday experiences. Approaching mobility and migration from multiple perspectives and less common angles, the lecture series will not focus only on people. We also want to draw attention to the mobility of non-humans (e.g. animals, microbiomes), how they are entangled with and might shape human movements. Within this focus, geographies of rewilding and a more-than-human geography of global health are at the centre of the series’ interest.

Everybody interested is welcome to participate in this term’s program:
