Last week, we held the first orientation events for our new international students. 🤗

The participants were students who are starting their studies in the winter semester of 2024. In total, around 90 to 100 students will begin their studies this year. 🙌

During the event, we welcomed the students and provided them with information about starting their studies and life in Germany, particularly life in the Ruhr area.

They are enrolled in the MBA, Industry 4.0 & Management and Big Data & Business Analytics programs.

A day full of cultural diversity and culinary delights! 😍

Students of the FOM University proudly presented their cultures in traditional costumes and home-cooked food. 🍽️ 🥻

As part of a cultural study, the students of the international Master of Business Administration (intMBA) program gave interesting insights into their customs and traditions. 💁

Prof. Dr. Andrea Chatoupis, who currently leads the lecture on HR and leadership competencies in the intMBA, was very impressed and satisfied with the successful event.

How to achieve the balance ⚖️:

Last week, Dr. Arshad Mahmood, Founding Director of European Sustainable Research Outreach, Germany, visited FOM University and delivered an inspiring lecture on how to start a business in Germany as a newcomer.

From the winter term 2024, Dr. Mahmood will be teaching at FOM University. 😎

Last week, influencer Chandu Prasad Chowdary visited us at our FOM campus in .

He is currently studying for a master's degree at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences and is in his final semester.

As an influencer from India, he reports on university life in Germany and talked to our students about student life at FOM University. 📹

55 participants from India have been in Essen!😊

They are on a two week tour in Europe with our partner and have visited us for a day. 🤗

We showed them our campus, the International Office gave a presentation about the FOM and Professor Dirk Stein gave a lecture on “AI & Artificial Leadership”. 🙌

At the end, everyone received a certificate.

This week, 16 international students from our master’s programme “Big Data & Business Analytics” started their first semester. They made it all the way from India. ✈️

At the first orientation event, we talked about their first tasks after arriving in Essen, for example about registering with the city, registering for health insurance and how to navigate the online campus. 👍
