Die Abteilung für Internationale Angelegenheiten ist für die Koordination der zahlreichen Kooperationsabkommen und -verträge der Europa-Universität Viadrina zuständig. Neben der Organisation internationaler Partnerschafts- und Austauschprogramme steht die Betreuung der Viadrina-Studenten, Gaststudierenden, internationalen Studieninteressierten und Wissenschaftler im Vordergrund.

The Department of International Affairs is responsible for the coordination and support the mentoring of the numerous cooperation agreements and contracts of the European University Viadrina. In addition to the organization of international partnership and study abroad agreements we are also focusing on the support of the Viadrina students who are interested in studying one or two semesters abroad, international students and international guest professors and academics.

☀️ A beautiful chapter at Viadrina! 💛

Every semester brings new faces, friendships and memories that stay with us long after we leave. 🌍✨

That’s what is all about: sharing the experiences and stories of students who have made Viadrina part of their journey. 🫶🏼

We’re continuing with Elsa and Bardha two Erasmus students from Kosovo who spent the summer semester at Europa-Universität Viadrina and shared a little glimpse of their experience with us:

If you’re an incoming exchange or Erasmus student at Viadrina, chances are you already know Bernd Schünow! 👋 But if you don’t, it’s time for an introduction.

Bernd is here to support incoming international exchange students, so if you have any questions or need a helping hand during your time at Viadrina, you can find him in room 208 AM every Wednesday and Thursday, from 10 AM to 12 PM. 🤝

Starting a new chapter at Viadrina comes with lots of new experiences, and knowing who to turn to can make all the difference! 💙 That’s why, in our new series, we’ll introduce you to the people behind the International Office, explain their roles, and show you how they can support you throughout your exchange journey.

🎓🌍 Staff Training Days 2026 at the Europa-Universität Viadrina

From September 28–30, colleagues from International Offices and university administration came together in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany 🇩🇪, for three days of learning, exchange and international collaboration. 🤝

Under the theme “AI & Digital Transformation in International Higher Education Administration”
🤖💡, we explored how AI and digitalization can enhance administrative processes, strengthen international cooperation and support our daily work.

Beyond the workshops, social and cultural activities gave us the chance to connect, exchange experiences and build new relationships. ✨

🌍 Global Citizenship and Sustainable Futures: Learning for Change

Looking for an opportunity to explore global challenges, exchange ideas with students from around the world and broaden your perspective? 🌎

The Global Citizenship and Sustainable Futures programme brings together students from INU universities worldwide for an online learning experience focused on global citizenship, sustainability and intercultural exchange.

Through 3 core sessions and 3 electives, participants will explore topics including the UN Sustainable Development Goals, climate change, social inequalities, food security, human mobility, gender equality, peace and the circular economy.

More than an academic experience, the programme is a chance to engage with different perspectives, take part in interdisciplinary dialogue and build meaningful international connections.

Who can apply?
Students of all disciplines and study levels at European University Viadrina, with a good command of spoken and written English and a willingness to actively participate.

🌍📚 Take your international experience back to the classroom!
Have you recently returned from studying or doing an internship abroad? ✈️ Then why not share your experience with students in Germany?
Back to School (BtS) is a programme line of “Europa macht Schule”, coordinated by the National Agency for Erasmus+ Higher Education Cooperation at the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). 🇩🇪🇪🇺
Through Back to School, students with international experience can visit a school in Germany and talk about their time abroad, giving pupils an authentic insight into life abroad and inspiring them to discover Europe, international opportunities and the benefits of going abroad. 🌎✨
📌 Who can participate?
Students enrolled at a German university who have gained international experience through their studies or an internship can apply. An Erasmus+ grant is not required.
