This facebook-page is meant to be an exchange platform for all the international students! Als Knotenpunkt für den Kontakt zwischen deutschen und internationalen Studierenden bemüht sich der IST jedes Semester darum, spannende und attraktive Events, Exkursionen und Besuche zu organisieren. Es gilt, Frankfurt und Umgebung sowie möglichst viele neue Menschen kennenzulernen und einen tollen Aufenthal

t an der Goethe-Universität zu verbringen. Das International Office als Initiator des Internationalen Studientreffs ermöglicht so Studierenden der Goethe Universität, viele spannende Erfahrungen nach dem eigenen Geschmack zu sammeln. Neben den vielen Events stehen wir auch beratend zur Seite, wenn es um Themen wie Freizeitgestaltung, Sport oder Orientierung in Frankfurt und an der Uni geht. Unsere Sprechzeiten finden zu folgenden Zeiten statt:

Hallo allerseits!
Bestimmt vermisst ihr auch mal das Kino oder das Treffen mit Freund:innen. Dann haben wir coole Neuigkeiten für euch!!!
Am 2. Juni, 17:30-20:00 Uhr lädt euch das International Office der Goethe-Universität zum digitalen Kurzfilmfestival ein. Hierbei werden Filme präsentiert, die durch das Praxisprojekt "Videoclip produzieren" unter ACT, CONNECT & REFLECT der Goethe Universität im Sommersemester 2020 entstanden sind. Unsere Studierenden haben sich zu dem Thema "Corona, Lockdown und Studieren" unterschiedliche Film-Ideen ausgedacht, und diese auf kreative Art und Weise umgesetzt. Während des Festivals habt ihr dann auch die tolle Chance die Filmemacher:innen kennenzulernen und ihnen eure Fragen direkt zu stellen.

Don't forget to register for the English version of the Historical City Tour of Frankfurt held virtually by our personal Frankfurt-Expert, Leo! The event will take place on May 19th - check out Olat for registration information!

The last IST-Event in May will be a virtual guided tour of the Städel Museum - don't miss the registration for this event (check out Olat for further details!)

Netflix-Movie-Night:
(Requirements: Netflix Account)

Since it is not possible to meet in person at the moment, we have come up with an alternative to a cinema-session! Thanks to the Netflix function “Netflix Party”, we are able to watch a movie together and react to it in the chat function. If fast typing is not your thing, you'll be happy about the little Zoom-session taking place beforehand to introduce the film of your choosing. You will be presented with three film options. The theme for this first movie night is: German Cinema!! Sophie Z. (Movie-Major!) will share some insights in the form of a tiny presentation on the film in the Zoom-session beforehand...

So grab some popcorn (what else?!), put on something comfy and join us!

Attention: The poll for the films will take place at the start of the zoom session, so please be on time!

The film will be shown in German with English subtitles!

At our next IST-Event we will have the opportunity to gather some insights into this central institution of the Euro-system...
A presenter from the ECB will hold a 1-hour-talk in English for us next Tuesday 🤗
Since this is an event in collaboration with the ECB, we need to send them a fixed participant list - which is why the deadline for registration is tomorrow. Please check Olat for further information on how to register!
