It is with great sadness that we learned about the death of Prof. Dr. Ursula Schaefer on June 7, 2022. The English Department mourns the loss of a perpetually dedicated, warm-hearted colleague and an internationally recognized scholar with an incorruptible eye for academic quality, rare didactic abilities and willing attentiveness to students’ needs.

We will fondly remember Professor Schaefer and will miss her scholarly dedication, keen wit, and, above all, her gracious kindness.

You can find her obituary on our website – www.anglistik.uni-freiburg.de/seminar/obituaries.
