The Erasmus Mundus: Erasmus + Programme "European Master in Law and Economics" (EMLE), offers you the unique opportunity to study at up to three European and Non-European universities and to obtain an officially recognised joined and/or double degree. It provides you with advanced knowledge on the economic effects of divergent laws and prepares you for a career in public organisations, multinational law firms, or academia.

🌍 Study Law and Economics at Three Top Universities in One Year

The EMLE programme offers a unique international and interdisciplinary education at the intersection of law and economics. Over the course of one academic year, you will study at three renowned partner universities across Europe and beyond, preparing you for a global career in law, business, policy or academia.

• Duration: 1 academic year (October to July)
• Mobility: Study at up to three different universities in three countries

📚 Specialisation Tracks

EMLE students can choose one of the following tracks

• Public and International Law (PIL): Focus on public policy, institutions and global governance
• Innovation and Intellectual Property (IP): Explore legal and economic issues related to digital markets, innovation and technology regulation
• Markets, Corporations and Regulation (MCR): Emphasis on private law, competition, finance and regulatory frameworks in business contexts

👤 Who Can Apply

• Students with at least 240 ECTS credits from previous higher education (for example 3 year bachelor plus master or four year bachelor)

We are happy to share that the review of EMLE applications for the intake 2026-2027 has now been completed.

We will begin sending out acceptance letters next week. Please note that these will be issued in several batches rather than all at once, so the process may take several days. Please don’t worry if you do not hear from us immediately.
