*Get to know the Team*
Lara studies social work and has been part of our team for two years. As head of the marketing
department, she and her team take care of Enactus Hamburg's external image. This includes the maintenance of the social media channels, the design of stickers and promotional material, as well as the planning of events.

*Why did you join Enactus?*
My brother told me about Enactus two years ago, as he had recently become a member. He was totally enthusiastic and I then accompanied him to a team meeting and immediately felt at home. The idea of achieving something together and create sustainable impact as a team to make the world a little bit better was a reason for me to join immediately. Since I study socioeconomics and social work, I wanted to get involved right from the start and support disadvantaged groups of people in the long term through social entrepreneurship. I could immediately identify with the Enactus-philosophy and I
was impressed by the team spirit.

*What accomplishments have you achieved after joining?*
I have met a lot of great people from different countries and courses of study and have learned a lot that goes beyond the content of my studies. I have gained great experiences with the team, because together we have mastered many challenges. Learning from each other and thus advancing project and department work - that's what Enactus is about for me.

*Any leisure activities?*
I would say that Enactus is one of the most time-consuming but also best of my hobbies. I usually also like to do things with my friends or enjoy warm summer evenings in the city park or on the balcony. I also like to travel, love good food and give free rein to my creativity whenever I can.

*Get to know the Team*
Neal is currently doing his Masters in Computer Science and has been part of our team for 1.5 years. As teamleader and head of the IT department, he not only takes care of all technical matters of our association, but also ensures that everything runs smoothly at Enactus Hamburg.

*Why did you join Enactus Hamburg?*
I wanted to get to know people outside my own field of studies. I wanted to learn something from different fields of studies and I wanted to apply the knowledge I learn at university on real world problems.

*What accomplishments have you achieved after joining?*
I made friends all over Germany and took part in publishing a live app to the app/play-store ( 'pfandgeben', check it out ;) ). I also was part of the finalist team at the national cup and became head of IT/Team Leader.

*Any leisure activities?*
Gaming, Puzzles, Coding

Heute stellen wir euch das erste Sustainable Development Goal vor: Armut in all ihren Formen überall zu beenden.
Die folgenden Teilziele sind unter anderem mit diesem Ziel verbunden (schaut für mehr Informationen unter https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal1 vorbei!)

➡️ Bis 2030 Beseitigung der extremen Armut für alle Menschen überall auf der Welt, die von weniger als 1,25 US-Dollar pro Tag leben

➡️ Bis 2030 den Anteil der Männer, Frauen und Kinder aller Altersgruppen, die in Armut leben, mindestens halbieren

➡️ National angemessene Sozialschutzsysteme und -maßnahmen für alle umsetzen und bis 2030 eine wesentliche Abdeckung der Armen und Schwachen erreichen

➡️ Bis 2030 sicherstellen, dass alle Männer und Frauen, insbesondere die Armen und Schutzbedürftigen, gleiche Rechte auf wirtschaftliche Ressourcen haben sowie Zugang zu grundlegenden Dienstleistungen, Eigentum und Kontrolle über Land und andere Formen von Eigentum, Erbschaft, natürliche Ressourcen, geeignete neue Technologien und Finanzdienstleistungen, einschließlich Mikrofinanzierung

Today we present to you the first Sustainable Development Goal: End poverty in all its forms everywhere.
The following targets are associated with this goal (for more information: https://sdgs.un.org/goals/goal1)

➡️ By 2030, eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere, currently measured as people living on less than $1.25 a day

➡️ By 2030, reduce at least by half the proportion of men, women and children of all ages living in poverty in all its dimensions according to national definitions

➡️ Implement nationally appropriate social protection systems and measures for all, including floors, and by 2030 achieve substantial coverage of the poor and the vulnerable

➡️ By 2030, ensure that all men and women, in particular the poor and the vulnerable, have equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to basic services, ownership and control over land and other forms of property, inheritance, natural resources, appropriate new technology and financial services, including microfinance

*Fact of the Week*
Den Februar starten wir mit einer tollen Neuigkeit! Ab 2021 ist der Export von unsortierten Plastikabfällen verboten, sodass nur noch saubere Kunstoffabfälle zum Recycling in den globalen Süden ausgeführt werden dürfen.
Dies ist ein wichtiger, wenn auch kleiner, Schritt hin zu effektiven Lösungen zur Wiederverwendung aussortierter Wertstoffe.
*Fact of the Week*
We start February with great news! From 2021, the export of unsorted plastic waste will be banned, so that only clean plastic waste can be exported to the global south for recycling.
This is an important, albeit small, step towards effective solutions for the reuse of sorted recyclables.
