The Rectors’ Conference of German Conservatories has launched a comprehensive and independent academic study on the topic of abuse of power. The study is being conducted by the Institute for Applied Research and Project Consulting (IPP).
22 German music colleges are participating in the study, including the HMTMH.

Students and faculty at the HMTMH can participate in an anonymous online survey to share their experiences and observations.

Langer Tag der aufgeschobenen Hausarbeiten  Die Zentralbibliothek (Gebäude Leisewitzstr. 39) hat am 17.03. von 9 bis 19 Uhr geöffnet, so dass Ihr mehr Zeit zum konzentrierten Schreiben habt. Es gibt Getränke und kleine Snacks!
Felisa Mesuere bietet am Tag der aufgeschobenen Hausarbeiten von 09:00-15:00 Uhr eine „Offene Schreibsprechstunde“ im Judaica-Raum (1. OG, 1.105) an. Hier können allgemeine Fragen zum wissenschaftlichen Schreiben, zu Fuß-/Endnoten, zur Schreibplanung/Organisation, zur Gliederung/Struktur der Arbeit, zu Schreibmethoden oder zum Zitieren geklärt werden. Ihr könnt die Beratung auch ohne Textprobe in Anspruch nehmen oder in Literatur zum Thema „Wissenschaftliches Schreiben“ stöbern, die im Raum ausliegen wird. Die „Offene Schreibsprechstunde“ ersetzt NICHT eine inhaltliche Sprechstunde bei dem*der Dozent*in, bei dem*der die Haus-/Abschlussarbeit geschrieben wird.

The next Long Day of Procrastinated Term Papers will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

On this day, the Central Library (Leisewitzstr. 39 building) will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., giving you extra time to work and write in the library spaces. The AStA will provide drinks and small snacks so that you have enough energy throughout the day!
Is this your first time writing a scientific paper in German? During the Long Day of Procrastinated Term Papers, Felisa Mesuere will offer an “Open Writing Consultation Hour” from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Judaica Room (1st floor, room 1.105). Here, you can ask general questions about academic writing, such as questions about footnotes/endnotes, writing planning and organization, structuring your paper, writing methods, or citation practices. You are welcome to use the consultation without bringing a text sample, or to browse the literature on academic writing that will be available in the room. Please note: The Open Writing Consultation Hour does NOT replace a subject-specific consultation with the lecturer supervising your term paper or thesis. It is mainly a German-language offering.
