A great success of our Alumni, Roudi Soubra, a 2003 Graduate from Schiller International University - London Campus!

Master developer Nakheel’s hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall has been crowned 3-star Hotel of the Year at the 2017 Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards.

The 372-room Premier Inn, which opened just over a year ago, scooped the top prize in its category at the 3rd Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards ceremony, held in Dubai last night. It beat five other hotels to claim the award.

Roudi Soubra, now a General Manager, Premier Inn Ibn Battuta Mall, added: “Premier Inn Ibn Battuta Mall offers excellent facilities in a convenient location. This, combined with Premier Inn’s enviable reputation, adds up to a great guest experience to which our customers return time and time again. We have enjoyed close to 90 per cent occupancy since we opened and this is set to further increase as we enter the peak travel season. We are delighted to have taken home the top prize in our category at this year’s Hospitality Excellence Awards.”

Premier Inn Dubai Ibn Battuta is directly connected to the mall and the Ibn Battuta Metro station. Hotel facilities include an all-day restaurant, Costa coffee shop, swimming pool, gym and business centre with meeting and conference rooms. Guests can also enjoy free, 24-hour Wi-Fi access. Guests include business and leisure travellers, with many returning regularly and a few even living in the hotel since it opened last October.

The hotel is one of 17 in Nakheel’s AED5 billion hospitality expansion, under which 6,000 rooms and hotel apartments will be delivered across Dubai. Premier Inn is also the operating partner for a Nakheel hotel at Dragon City, due to open in 2018.

A second Nakheel hotel at Ibn Battuta Mall is also under construction.

“Firstly, attending Schiller was a boost, not only on my academic life, but also in my personal life. One of the most distinct ways Schiller has helped me in, would be in the International education that they provided. As it was the first time in my life that I was surrounded by so many nationalities and cultures all over the world. And being able to learn and adapt to each one of them, which has helped me in my job on a daily basis, as I worked with different nationalities and cultures every day." Meet our Alumni Borja:
