Alice Kumpfert, Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice

I’ve been fortunate enough to learn during my time abroad, at different MUNs and my work with the homeless and people with special needs how enlightening it is to truly understand another person with a completely different background from ones’ own. Regina Mosebach, Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change

"Tackling the existing global issues requires a determined and internationally coordinated approach. That is what we learn in NMUN, to find compromise while at the same time developing effective solutions. I am glad to be part of this unique experience and be able to look behind the curtain of international politics and diplomacy.
It is not just the conference in New York I am looking forward to, but also the process of preparation. Besides the technical knowledge concerning our assigned committee, negotiation and language skills are further crucial competences we are evolving.

"In a globalized world like ours, it is simply indispensable to deepen understanding of globalized world structures. Therefore, MUN in New York is a great opportunity to get in contact with young like-minded people and understand, how nations try solving the issues of tomorrow united. Not least because the UN shapes common future (and my generation is the future), NMUN will be an amazing training chance for being a useful future part in solving prospective global challenges. Admittedly, visiting New York for the first time, combined with the knowledge of being there for concrete reason must be a phenomenal experience. To sum it up, representing Bulgaria as a delegate at NMUN in New York will be an exciting opportunity, fitting to my own values." - Tristan Söchtig
