🔹Contemporary Dance focused on floorwork and release technique
This class focuses on improvisation based on both technique and creativity.
The class I am proposing is mainly focused in release and floor work technique and it is articulated as follows: 1. Warm-Up: dedicated to a gradual sequence of mobilisation and strengthening exercises inspired by functional training. 2. Crossings: such as rolls, slides, spirals, body weight transfer, we shift the body across different levels, dynamics, directions and orientations in the space. 3. Integration and Sequencing: we combine the single elements into sequences, which are executed on both sides. 4. Choreographic Phrase: At the end of the class I propose a choreographic phrase, where I connect and expand the explored elements into a further evolution and a more challenging combination.

🔹Soft acrobatic flow
We start the class with a solid warm up, strengthening the core muscles all the way out to the extremities, leading into a series of movement sequences with a focus on opposition, release and use of the floor, creating a soft acrobatic flow between floorwork and standing up to jumping.

📣Applications for the 3rd round are now open!!!📢Deadline: 28.09.2026 📣

The artistic residencies from Tanzwerk*Kassel e.V. were developed as part of the project “Tanzwerk M O V E S (moving in - moving on - moving beyond) - ein Raum für Bewegung” selected and supported by Next Step’s program (2026), a program envisioned by Bureau Ritter to strengthen dance professionals in Hessen, and funded by the Crespo Foundation.

🔹The Round 3 includes two categories that applicants can apply:
⟶ Long Term Residency: 26.10. - 16.12.2026
⟶ Mid Term Residency: 23.11. - 16.12.2026
Showing on the 17.12.2026 , Dock 4, Halle

🔹Artists/groups/collectives from all career stages: early-, mid-, long-career are eligible to apply. Focus on projects in dance / movement / embodiment orientated.

🔹The residency takes place at Kulturhaus Dock 4 in the afternoon period, and at SOZO vim in the evening period. Artists/collectives will alternate/rotate locations each week of the residency period.

🔹Artists will receive free mentoring; grant allowance of 200€ ; opportunity to perform their work in any format that is appropriate; full documentation (photos and video); written confirmation of participation.
*For artists not based in Kassel, it is possible to offer extra support for transport and accommodation. However, it is not guaranteed to cover all expenses in full.

🔹Base, technique, support, circle
I invite you to join me for an intensive, exploratory movement practice where technique, intuition, and collective energy meet. We begin with a shared warm-up to arrive and tune in together. Touch will be part of the practice and is always optional. The circle is a central element of the class—a space for learning, sensing collective rhythm, and generating shared energy. We work with choreographic material including floorwork, standing movement, and jumps and a bit of partnering while leaving room for your own artistic research and curiosity. Together, we create an atmosphere of support, respect, and openness, where learning happens through exchange, showing, and witnessing. I look forward to sharing a dance practice that is physical, expressive, sensitive, and powerful.

🔹The Instrument: Dance Composition and the Body Mind
The body living and experiencing through touch and gravity; is an active mover, maker and creator. While we move in the physical world, we are gifted with awareness of our body-mind connection and communication through space - time; while interacting with reality concretely and imaginatively. The sessions aim to highlight the beauty of these interactions, as a playground for dance making. An in-depth practice of (e)motion, rhythmicality, improvisation and composition is offered for participants who wish to engage with an embodied, perceptive and imaginative journey.
