A new chapter is about to begin: new subjects, new perspectives, new people, and plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and make your own experiences. A few days ago, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new access road to the future University Campus in Kulmbach marked another important step in the development of the site.

What is taking shape on the former railway grounds is much more than new infrastructure: it is the foundation for a vibrant place of research, education and innovation, where students and researchers will learn, work and connect.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making this vision a reality. We look forward to seeing the next steps of this exciting development.

Last week Prof. Gwang-woong Go (Department of Food and Nutrition, 한양대학교 Hanyang University, Korea) and Prof. Dr. Janin Henkel-Oberländer signed an addendum to their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), further expanding their collaboration in joint research as well as student and researcher exchange. Also pictured is Sumin Kang (middle), Prof. Go’s PhD student, who is currently conducting research as a guest researcher in Prof. Henkel-Oberländer’s group.

We look forward to the exciting opportunities this partnership will create!
