Last Sunday, Germany’s Bundespräsident Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife visited Kulmbach for the ceremonial handover of the harvest crown and explored the Market of Opportunities.

The Federal President and his wife enthusiastically sampled vegan ice cream made from spent brewer’s grains, an innovative project by the Food Innovators at Food Valley Kulmbach. They also took time for an engaging conversation with our students and team about our food-related study programmes and their international focus.

At our stand, we also presented our interactive survey on protein requirements and sustainability, developed by our Master’s students and doctoral researchers. Visitors could engage with questions about protein needs and sustainable nutrition.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and showed interest in our work at the intersection of food, sustainability, and international exchange.

Together Against Sexism – Exhibition at Campus Kulmbach

What is sexism, how does it affect our everyday lives, and what can we do to challenge it? The travelling exhibition Together Against Sexism is now on display in the Mensa at Campus Kulmbach until 17 December 2026.

Featuring 13 posters, the exhibition explores the definitions and forms of sexism, its historical background, its impact on society, and strategies to recognise and challenge it.

Pictured are the Gender Equality Officer of the Faculty, Jun.-Prof. Dr. Tina Bartelmeß, together with the student Gender Equality Officers Laura Haupenthal and Ayesha Jahangeer, who officially opened the exhibition.

Everyone is welcome to visit, learn more about the topic, and reflect on how we can work together towards a more equal and respectful society. Let’s raise awareness and stand together against sexism.

How to top up your student card

You can recharge your student card at two locations on campus:

ASP, 2nd floor (common room): Add credit for printing and photocopying.

Mensa: Add credit for meals and for using the coffee machine in the common room.

Important: The two balances are separate and cannot be used interchangeably. Make sure to top up at the right terminal depending on what you need!
